Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
Redskins outside linebacker Preston Smith is dealing with a groin injury that is severe enough to keep him out of Sunday’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. Smith did not participate in Wednesday’s closed walk-through.
Five other players did not participate during walk-through: left tackle Trent Williams (knee), right guard Brandon Scherff (knee/back), center Spencer Long (both knees), linebacker Zach Brown (back) and backup offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe (core muscle). Cornerback Josh Norman (rib), offensive tackle Morgan Moses (both ankles), linebacker Mason Foster (shoulder), safeties Deshazor Everett (hamstring) and Stefan McClure (knee/hamstring), cornerback Fabian Moreau (hamstring) and guard Tyler Catalina (concussion) were all estimated as limited. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.b03b46127dab If Norman, Trent, Moses and Schreff dont play .... yikes

Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
The list of walking wounded (or folks who really can't suit up) is as long and as impactful as any I can recall in all my years following this team: Redskins.com | Injury Report
Scherff, Williams, Long, Moses, Nsekhe, Catalina, Kelley, Thompson, Norman, Breeland, Everett, Brown, Foster, Everett, McClure, Moroeau, Nicholson, Smith. 18 guys! And many starters among them. If we somehow manage toe beat Dallas with this many folks dinged up or likely out, it would be a real achievement. That we kept it within 10 points with the best team in football right now is itself a good sign.

Agreed, these are the kind of injuries you can avoid...

Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
Normally, this team has a tendency to give it their all when they play against Dallas, so that's why I think the 'skins will beat 'em this Sunday. Unfortunately, I believe they'll split the series unless Zeke is not playing in the second game.

Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
With the amount of injuries on this team,
I would rest TWilliams, Scherff, Long, Smith and whoever else is hurting as bad. No sense getting this guys injuring themselves more, if we lose we lose. There another 9 games to play.

Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
Apparently Williams' injury will need surgery but can't get any worse as of now. If he can play we need him...

Re: It's Dallas Week!!! Round 1
Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree on that one. This is an NFC East game. Resting these guys means Gruden is giving up not even half way through the season. It would be a totally different story if the next few games were between the Browns, Chargers, and Dolphins. But this is a very crucial point of the season that will probably determine if the 'skins go to the playoffs or not. Just the sad matter of fact is, this is the regular season and this team shouldn't have the mentality of playing for next season. They need to play their best guys and play each week as if it's one and done.
