Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
I don't even know how to feel anymore. I hate being so pissed off over a football game, especially in front of my little one, but damn, this one hurt. We lose a game that was pretty much won, we lose Chris Thompson for the rest of the year, we darn near lost Kirk Cousins. We'll probably lose him once the season is done, and we'll once again be looking for a new coaching staff by the end of the season. Such a tortured life to live as a Redskins fan.

Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
Yeah I thought the intentional grounding was a miscommunication and not Kirk trying to bail on the throw, but the refs apparently thought different.
I'm just mad that we can play 56 minutes of inspired, passionate football and you can't even protect a 15 point lead with 3 minutes left. Gruden has improved this team from when he inherited it, but his deficiencies are starting to wear thin.

I perked up when Snyder finally hired a real GM. But then he allowed Smithers to undermine that GM. Snyder just can't get out of his own way. I believe that the FO set up we have now is an impending disaster that will derail the rebuild that began a couple of years ago. That's why I can't let myself get too excited about Redskins football anymore,

Nothing else matters, Cousins included, unless Gruden is fired. Won't win anything with him as the coach. I was pro Gruden for a long time, but that ship sank. He's a loser.
Don't want Manusky and the ST coach too. Clean fucking house.

Too bad we'll never know what McVay and Cousins could have done together without bitchboy in the middle.

Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
You know what will happen. We’ll go 4-2 over the last six to finish 8-8, management will think Gruden deserves another year, and we’ll shoot ourselves in the foot again next year and go 8-8 again.

I hope we lose every game besides Thanksgiving. Don't want to ruin that for Skins fans that go to the game on turkey day.

Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
Things that are guaranteed, minus the random weird 1/1000 games like the Seattle win we got:
We will get outplayed at the end of every half and 4th quarter, our ST's will be shitty as pooh on fire on your porch, and Gruden will call a dumb fucking play when it matters most.

Re: Heartbreak City: Redskins-Saints Postgame Thread
I blame both coaching and the QB. Sometimes you have numbers that do not reflect reality. The box score does not tell the story with the Redskins. Kirk looks better on paper than he is in real life, he puts up meaningless stats in loses. When the game is on the line he makes fatal mistakes. The Skins aren't winning anything of significance with him or Gruden, time to start over. How many games do top NFL QBs or coaches lose up 15 with 3min to go? Answer, none.
