Re: Giants Postgame
This run defense tho. It's very very very elite right now. Enough sample size to give them this label. Its basically not an option for teams. Make Eli 1 dimensional and its a wrap.
Our pressure stats were way better than I realized too.

Re: Giants Postgame
Scott gave us Scherff and Ioannidis. I don't think he excelled here but he got us some beasts where its the most important to have them.

Re: Giants Postgame
Well he’s a step behind Eli in terms of being done. Eli’s done though for real. Look at Eli now...that’s Alex maybe next year, and def in 2020.
We need to do 1 of 2 things.... 1. either completely transition too a running team...LG, Blocking TE and interior depth Oline, as well as drafting or paying a solid RB Or 2. we need to get rid of Alex It’s one or the other folks.drafting a young qb is on the list either way |

Re: Giants Postgame
I would definitely draft a QB next yr. Alex only has another year at most left

Re: Giants Postgame
Alex is here for at least 3 years (I still have faith in him too) and Colt just got extended. IMHO I don't see us drafting a QB this year, nor do I think they should.

Agreed, people need to slow their roll... And can we just enjoy being 5-2 for a minute |

Re: Giants Postgame
Alex Smith had all day to throw, wish we could punish more on those play action throws.

Re: Giants Postgame
Apologies for the complaining, but it’s def the elephant in the room. And the level of play is disappointing at this point in the season.
I don’t think trading for a wr is the answer...maybe it would help, but I have my doubts. I think it’s worth talking about. Thank god for AP...where would we be without him? Seriously |

Winning ugly is the name of the game for the 18 Skins. I'll take it.

Re: Giants Postgame
The thing with Smith is it's fine now cause we're 5-2. But you simply can not and will continue to win like this. Eventually you will have make more plays on offense. If we were 2-5 let's say his job would be in serious trouble.

Re: Giants Postgame
The flip side of this is the defense is dominating enough to let Alex work his way up to where he needs to be. And he just doesn't turn the ball over. Great D and no turnovers will play. Obviously offense needs to be better, and I did my yelling about this in gameday thread, but no turnovers is huge.

Re: Giants Postgame
It's hard to not make mistakes when you're playing with a lead and throwing 5 yard passes. He was basically asked to do nothing today.
