Richardson, in a short amount of time, showed that he was a good WR. I don't get people's hate on him. Sure he got hurt, but he's easily right now the most experience wideout of our whole group.

Re: Skins @ Browns Post glorified scrimmage thread (PSW1)
On Sheehan's podcast, Cooley talked about the choice to basically not play your starters at all in this first pre-season game.
His point was that after going through camp, it'd be good for the guys to feel good about the team. Everybody knows being a pre-season champ doesn't get you anywhere. But these guys go on the field to win, and I do think the Browns have to feel great about themselves after that first "hurry up offense" drive. Cooley talked about "setting up a tone". I understand Jay's scared of injuries, he should be... but are 15 pre-season plays really going to significantly increase injury risks ? These guys can get hurt during training too... heck you can lose a star player because he did cryotherapy in France... We seem to have this conversation about pre-season not being a great way to get ready for the regular one every year... and I don't think that's an absurd point to be made... but if this team again looks unprepared at the start of this season, something will have to be done, and that's not something you can pin on BA ! Again, not overreacting to a preseason game, I'm actually quite happy with white I saw from several players (only concern is lineS depth), but I just hope this team finally plays to the full potential of its roster...

I’m convinced at this point that Gruden views McLaurin as his secret weapon, a WR1 lying in wait. Leave him there, don’t wake the sleeping dragon. Unleash him in Philly.

Re: Skins @ Browns Post glorified scrimmage thread (PSW1)
As for takeaways from the Redskins Browns game, there are absolutely none. We sat everybody, they didn’t. I mean our entire offense is Peterson + Guice + Thompson + Reed + McLaurin (yeah, the world will see). None played.
I’ll pass a little judgment based on what I see against Atlanta week 3. Aside from that I expect our cards to be held close to the vest, and then we come out physical in Philadelphia. Still think we’re criminally underrated across the league.

Re: Skins @ Browns Post glorified scrimmage thread (PSW1)
The whole world criminally underrates the Skins because the Skins have criminally underperformed the past decade and a half. Let the Skins prove it on the field for a couple of seasons.

Re: Skins @ Browns Post glorified scrimmage thread (PSW1)
Agreed. This team though would look a lot different if they actually stayed healthy for a whole year. That "terrible" Redskins team was actually 6-3 at one point last year before the injuries came at a rapid pace. We are absurdly overdue to stay healthy for awhile. Our running game and dline are going to be forces this year.
