Proven talent with gas in the tank and an obvious upgrade for our roster. On a one year deal what’s not to like?

Agree. He wants to win and gets pissed when he doesn't get the ball when he feel he should. Like his tenacity.

Per ESPN:

Diggs is bringing his skills to DC

No. 1 in catch score last season (98) on a 0-100 scale
No. 1 in the NFL among WRs last season in reception percentage, catching 82.5% of his targets
2nd-best receiver in the NFL last season according to ESPN's receiver scores

Him and Terry could be a very nice 1-2 punch. Add in Chig and Antonio Williams someone should be open virtually every passing play.

I like the move, not least as it draws the line under the Aiyuk drama. Agree it should give us a legit 1-2-3 with Williams, plus Chig. The Pats letting him go wasn't a massive surprise given the off field drama brewing, but that's done with so...

Not really worried about Diggs in the locker room. He's now 32 and this is where production falls off for wr's. Actually, it tends to fall off right at 30 so at 32 what are the chances he has the production of last year? Plus you have two starting wr's in their 30's.

Kinda torn on it. I just think bringing in 32 year old wr that has been on numerous teams the last few years won't do much.

He put up over 1,000 yards last year receiving and has nearly every year he has played. You seriously don't think Diggs produces minimally 500 yards receiving? People can slam his attitude and off the field issues all they want, but no one can deny he's talented, productive, and wants the ball.

Agree

Plus if the wheels come off the offense bus this year at least we know we threw everything at it

I’ll bet that house Aiyuk bought in Northern Va is back on the market for a song. Anyone need a place in Ashburn?

I think you can get that same production out of one of the guys you already have. And by their own analytics dept, they think the production falls off at 30. Time and time you see it with really good and great wr's.

To me it's just another one year rental similar to Debo. But I get it, bringing someone with proven production is not a bad thing. I just don't think we see that same production from last year. Whether he stays on good behavior remains to be seen.

Really? Then, other than McLaurin a given, then why have any of them never done it before? Our options are highly limited now that it is already August and our need is great. I cannot emphasize enough that JD5 is on a rookie contract still also. If the other dudes can contribute great, have them earn it and put up numbers just have to compete with Diggs now. Diggs has done it for a long time and intends on here also. Not like a 5 year deal only 1.

We went through this same thing last year with Debo. And I had the EXACT same argument. Debo had the kind of year I expected. He was solid but not worth giving up a draft pick. Probably could have got 700 yards out of someone already on the roster if they were given the opportunity.

Here we are a year later and I expect the same thing this year from Diggs. If he can stay healthy he'll get around 600 to 700 yards. I have no doubt that you can get that with one of the guys we have. Will Diggs be happy with getting a few balls a week?

I'm not against the signing btw. I'm just not really for it.

We did not give up a draft pick for Diggs like Samuel. Literally just signed him. Nothing lost. Diggs receiving production is significantly better than Deebo. 7 1,000 yard season including one last year is no joke. Deebo didn't have Terry nor JD5 which Diggs should making his potential contributions far greater than Deebo's besides the fact he's a better wr.

What would your plan be for wide receiver now in August instead of signing Diggs?
