Re: Round'em up
Brunell is still average, and there are a bunch of things we have to fix....but we needed this win in the worst way, and Brunell, Moss and the Defense did it!!!
So many stats have gone to hell today...least of which are the 14/15 in the head to head for Dallas, the 77-0 for Parcells, and the skins need 100+ from Portis to win. If you want to look up the definition of "joy" in the dictionary, there should be a pic of Gibbs jumping up in the air in disbelief after the clock ran out. |

Re: Round'em up
Yeah I'm going to enjoy this win. But I can't for the life of me forget all of the bullshit comments about Gibbs and Brunell that I've heard in the past weeks. Some predicted the Redskins to get blown out. Oh ye men of little faith! This goes to show you, that when you spend so much time focusing on whose throwing the ball and not the significance of this game and why we would win, you really should hang your head in shame, because you didn't believe.

SUNRA, Redskins_P, Cpayne5, GoSkins, Schneed10, and others, make some room on the Brunell Bandwagon. We may have some more folks joining us after tonight.
Matty, take the wheel for a bit. I'm going to have some celebratory beers! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS! HAIL VICTORY!

Re: Round'em up
I say we have a parade down the streets of Constitution Ave. in D.C. and declare the curse of losing to Dallas lifted. Then let all of the Gibbs/Brunell haters ride on a float wearing Dunce caps with blue stars on them.

Re: Round'em up
to me football is a 60 minute game no matter how you look at it. and a win is a win. The fact a team can go what 7 qtrs and not score a TD, then score two. says alot about the players not giving up. Its called heart!

Re: Round'em up
Please haters and doubters I know the win is less sweet for your bitter souls, but don't sully my moment with ramblings on the first 55 minutes. We just watched an instant classic game and the birth of the respect of Moss factor in the offense this has CB's, S's and Defense Coordinators very unhappy, and Clinton Portis very happy. Less 8 in the box = more yards for CP.

Re: Round'em up
I am keeping my sig, for a while. I am not going to speak negative of Brunell or Gibbs. Brunell did something that we have not seen in a long, long time, he brought the Skins back in the 4th quarter in a big time game.
We have the bye this week and it looks as thought the football gods are smiling upon us with the early bye. Brunell will get a 'mini-camp' so to speak with the first team offence. Gibbs will have this team ready for Seattle. I have never felt so good waking up after four hours of sleep to go to work. HTTR! |

Re: Round'em up
Let's not make this about who the haters are and who had faith. If we can learn anything from that win last night it's that you have to stick together no matter the circumstances. The team was able to do that and the fans need to start doing that as well.

Re: Round'em up
Whether it was Brunell, or Gibbs, or the rest of the team, or whoever. I can tell you, Brunell and company has accomplished something NOBODY else has (at least since Gibbs last tenure). It is a major first step on the road to respectability!! Take a little time to "smell the roses"
