Re: Stomach Punch!

For most of the 3rd and 4th quarter, we were popping TB in the mouth. However, the 3rd year rookie made some good plays and Gruden really stuck it to us by going for the 2pt conversion. Great call by him, despite the fact that Alstott may not have scored. That was truly a stomach punch, and hopefully, Gibbs will learn not to be too conservative when we're up.

Re: Stomach Punch!

Bottom line is there's so much to say about this game that theres nothing to say.... Could have run out the clock, should have stopped them, shouldn't have gone offsides, the elbow was down, too many turnovers, the def sucked, etc. etc..etc.. We still decide our own destiny.... Lets beat OAK!!!

Re: Stomach Punch!

This one hurt a lot. I'll be spending a lot of time this week telling myself to think happy thoughts, that it's in the past, can't be changed, that we're still in the thick of things, that good teams take blows like this and get inspired, etc., etc. But I keep thinking of the large number of plays that coulda, shoulda, woulda won the game.

Oy.

No it wasn't. Both teams fought strong. It was a great game to watch.

Re: Stomach Punch!

It sucks to lose, and lose the way we did. But I suppose there are worse ways

"Virginia Tech freshman A.D. Vassallo tipped a missed shot into his own basket just before the buzzer to give Bowling Green a 72-71 victory on Saturday in the NABC Classic and its first win over an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent since 1967."
