Re: Time for Doom 'n' Gloom
I was just telling Daseal that. I almost GUARANTEE that they'll win. When we play Arizona, Warner will be a "Pro Bowler" again. I'm seriously just sick of my heart being ripped out of my chest every week.

Re: Time for Doom 'n' Gloom
I think the reason that it is particularly harrowing to watch this season collapse like the last umptillion is that we are sending are first round pick to Denver next year. In year's past, when things started to go south and the playoffs began to look more and more remote, we could at least be buoyed by talk about maybe getting Kellen Winslow or Braylond Edwards. Not this year.
We needed to make it into the playoffs for that trade to begin to make sense, at least on a mathematical level (if Jason Campbell is the real deal it will make sense regardless). Anyway, we really aren't that good. Oakland played a mediocre game and we still found a way, against all odds and reason, to lose. Just like last year. Just like Spurrier. Just like Norv. |

Re: Time for Doom 'n' Gloom
[QUOTE=skinsguy]I don't know, what gets me is that we are always a hair away from our season being completely different. But, it goes back to what I have said all season long: we turn the ball over 3 times or more, we lose. Period. We turned the ball over three times today. We lost. We turned the ball over 3 times last week. We lost. Until we learn to hold onto the ball, we will continue to lose ball games.[/QUOTE
That's it. Not play calling, turnovers have beaten us and they will continue as long as Portis, Cooley, Brunell and the rest of them with fumbleitess are killing the team.

Re: Time for Doom 'n' Gloom
It just seemed as if we came out dead in the second half and the Raiders just settled down.

Re: Time for Doom 'n' Gloom
We are what we are: a 5-5 team that probably will finish 8-8 and be heading home Jan. 1.
