Re: Did The Cowboys And Giants Win Ruin The Skins Victory For You?
I was a little irritated by their wins today, but not much. With the way Brunell has been playing recently, all this talk of winning out is nothing but a fantasy. While I would love to see it, there's no way Washington is good enough to beat New York or Dallas, especially considering the fact that they had to squeak by the Cardinals.

Yeah, but it just makes next week that much more exciting. The Giants have a late game as well, so not only are you going to have 90,000+ watching the field, but the stadium ticker as well. The atmosphere in FedEx is going to be out of control. If the Washington Post sports writers thought the stadium was out of control for the Eagles game, they may want to close their eyes for this one. I have two Cowboys friends coming to the game and if you don't think I'm escorting them all the way up the ramp, you're crazy.

Didn't ruin it for me; just showed how much work the team has to do. They have to win their way in and not depend on other teams.
The Skins are not good enough to be relaxed or unfocused. The Giants and Cowboys wins are an incentive. |

I think the Giants are in real trouble As for us, I think Phil Simms made an excellent point when he stated "Its time for Dallas to take the training wheels off this offense" It just validates what most Cowboys fans have been saying--play to win, not to lose. Yesterday was a flea flicker for a 71 yard TD pass, a reverse on KC's 6 yard line which resulted in a TD and finally utilizing Jason Witten's talents in the Red zone for a beautifulTD pass. Dallas 5 losses have been by a total of 20 points and in all of those games, the play not to lose philosophy has been an oxymoron Its cost us games We're going to give up sacks because our RT and LT are VERY average, but get the ball deep and at least make teams respect the threat of the big play I think Parcells is going to do more of the same the rest of the year--there is no more margin for error FYI--Terrence Newman may get more time @ WR--yesterday was his 1st time playing there. He was only a decoy for 1 play but its just another thing to think about

Parcells finally figured that out yesterday--it only took losing 5 games in agonizing fashion (by a combined 20 points) Brunnel is picking a bad time to hit the skids

If it does, then we dont deserve to win and make the playoffs And, if Moss owns us again, it would just validate that our defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer is indeed the village idiot Put it this way--for those of you who caught the end of the KC/Dallas game, did you happen to notice who was in coverage against WR/KR Dante Hal when he made the huge catch to put KC in field goal range to tie the game? LB Scott Fujita--so anything is possible with Mike dickhead Zimmer

Playing not to lose and then indeed lose Here's somehing I picked up from a Boys board I frequent: Bledsoe Animated On Sideline With Parcells Per ESPN 103.3... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I heard this morning on Dallas radio 103.3 that before the flea-flicker play Bledsoe was on the sideline talking to Parcells and Peyton and was VERY animated telling them to let him throw the ball and be aggressive. They consented and called the flea-flicker play. Jennifer Engel (one of the hosts) said after they scored Bledsoe walked to the sideline and you could visibly see him telling Parcells and Peyton "See, I told you so"… --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, as I mentioned, were going to give up sacks to the tune of 3-5 every game because Bledsoe is strictly a dropback passer and our OT's are very ordinary But, hit on a few big plays and continue to try and be aggressive, the defense has to honor the threat of a big play Thats all I ask for--even if we dont win, go down swinging And to clarify things to those who may think this is a concession speech-- I dont expect the Cowboys to lose or tie this Sunday
