Portis just gets better each week it seems. But a Gibbs offense can bring out the best in a running back. Everyone loves to talk about the Denver system and how you could plug Schneed10 in there and even he would have a 1,000 yard rushing season. But as far as I know only one "system" has won three different Super Bowls with three different starting running backs and that's Gibbs' system.

Portis is showing patience when he runs now. He's actually waiting for the blocks to develop during couter-trey plays. Over 1300 yds on year 1, possible 1500+ yds in year 2....dare I say 2000+ yds next year??
