Re: 2009 Free Agents
Apparently the Lions have traded Jon Kitna to the Jets. No confirmation yet

Re: 2009 Free Agents
Did they trade player(s) or pick(s)? Kitna couldn't be worth more than 4th rounder at this point I would think.

Re: 2009 Free Agents
No idea, don't even know if it's true. But if it is I'd guess a draft pick (5th or 6th rounder maybe)

Re: 2009 Free Agents
Warner reportedly is asking for 12-14M/yr. and Arizona is offering 8-10 according to John Clayton. A little bit of a discrepancy. Also the Rams could part ways with Orlando Pace.

Re: 2009 Free Agents
How about Michael Boley, Falcons OLB 26 years old. Had a crappy 08 season but has been pretty solid 06 and 07 In 2007, Boley finished one behind Keith Brooking for the team lead in tackles. He took down a career-high 109 ballcarriers after making 85 tackles the season prior. He had three sacks in ’06 and three in '07
"There is a sense from close observers of the team that Boley didn’t completely buy into Smith’s program. Boley could try to find a team that’s willing to utilize him in a way he’s more comfortable". I think this guy is young enough and has the talent to rebound. We might be able to pick him up for as little as 3-4M a year. Since the Falcons are using him as a split and have benched him this past season. Michael Boley |

Re: 2009 Free Agents
I like Boley, don't get me wrong, but I think he's on the light side at 223lb. Jacobs would run him over, we need beefy LB's.

Re: 2009 Free Agents
Are Igor OLchansky and Chris Canty UFA's? If so, we should sign both of these guys.

Re: 2009 Free Agents
Both are 3-4 DEs not a good fit for our system. Their price tags will likely be driven up by the three (I believe) additional teams moving to the 3-4.

Re: 2009 Free Agents
We should get him, the guy is good and if Olshasky is available him too. Let Taylor hit the road along with Daniels.
