Ive still yet to see any quotes from any within the Seahawks organization about what potential they see in Willis. JLC mentioned him as a possibility (Zorn connection) and all of a sudden, everyone has decided this guy is our future RT without knowing anything about the guy other than that he started a few games last year. Considering how important OTs are, you would think if Seattle really valued this guy, theyd be trying their best to work something out with him. Thus far, theyve shown no such interest. And no other teams have been reported to be looking at this guy as a starting option. That, inofitself, is more than enough to tell me this guy may have potential, but right now, hes just Seattles version of Stephon Heyer. If we werent dragging jansens dead weight, a very good argument could be made for bringing him on board - Two young OTs with starting experience is better than one. Unfortunately, were stuck with Jansen for the time being and unless we have no intention of drafting an OT with the 13th pick in the draft, theres simply not room for Willis on our roster.

Re: Jason Taylor Released
agreed. Blades was horrible at OLB last year. Hes far too small to be our starting OLB, especially with another small guy in the middle. Blades may or may not end up being Fletcher 2.0, but one things for sure - we need one starting OLB and probably two new backup LBs or we're going to be in trouble.

From what I recall, Blache actually likes Matt Sinclair a lot as a backup MLB. He got hurt last summer so they had to cut him and I think he's an UFA now. But I'm guessing he joins us for training camp and maybe works his way onto the roster as Fletch's backup.

Seattle already has a starter at RT so I'm guessing that's why they aren't in a rush to re-sign him especially at starter type money that he's looking for. |

Re: Jason Taylor Released
Well, we'd be fine starting Blades, who is a better player than McIntosh, but Chris Wilson can't be an everydown player.
You know, you'd think since we bothered to hold Erasmus James through the entire season last year, we would have kept him on into this year...but no.

Re: Jason Taylor Released
I'm of the opinion that Heyer has great fundamentals and can start in this league, but he's just so unbelievably raw. It's incredible if he has to run a toss play or kick out the backer or something he just has no idea where the player is.
That's the thing, is that Heyer only has one more year to show progress in that aspect, or he becomes too costly to keep around.
