Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
lol I was just watching some highlights on NFL.com and they were so nonchalant as Hightower and Helu were tearing their D a new one.

Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
Coming into tonight I think more people than not were expecting JB to fall on his face. Of course it's just one preseason game, but for now at least he proved what the Shanahans has been talking about all along.

Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
Well, he did train with him and Brees this offseason, maybe something rubbed off?

Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
Agreed. I don't remember seeing any attempts by Beck to really air it out, which would have been nice, but he seemed to have some nice zip on his shorter passes (even if he looked like he was flinging a frisbee) and I was very impressed with his scrambling ability. Don't take this too far, but the way he ran reminded me a bit of Aaron Rodgers.

Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
So without wearing B&G sunglasses, we looked decent again tonight? I did not get to see the game and there is very little out right now other than the WP insider breakdown. I did see the box score, how where the Helu and Hightower long runs? Did the backs make the move to break out or where there holes trucks could drive through?
Beck seems like he made some semi believers on the site tonight. The D I don't care about, they dominated the Colts scrubs. The defense is going to be much better this season. Not because of the performances of the preseason, but the amount of talent there is over there and the fact that this is year two. Once we get our safeties back I will be happy and we will see an even more improved unit.

Re: Redskins-Colts Gameday Thread.
Looks like Kyle Shanahan's offense works...no matter what wannabe Aaron Rodgers is taking the snaps.
Seriously though, solid game by Beck

Also... anyone else read the ridiculous AP write-up on the game? Here's a section from the ESPN article... "One reason (the Colts were dominated): the Colts weren't at full strength. The offense was missing Manning, receivers Austin Collie (knee), Anthony Gonzalez (hamstring) and Reggie Wayne (personal matter), and the defense played without tackle Tommie Harris (hamstring) and linebacker Ernie Sims (appendix). The Colts also lost Pro Bowl safety Antoine Bethea on the game's second play, and rookie cornerback Chris Rucker, a second-round pick, later in the first quarter. Both went out with hamstring injuries. The Redskins were missing only one key player, safety Oshiomogho Atogwe (hamstring)." So London Fletcher, Leron Landry, Chris Cooley, Kory Lichtensteiger, Ryan Torain, Brandon Banks aren't "key players"?? Makes you wonder how people get paid to be sportswriters sometimes.
