Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style
Somewhat related, if Nnamdi is released, and though he sucks, I'd definitely give him a look here.

He looks like he's fallen off a cliff. WTF happened to him? Glad we didn't chase him when he was available.

He's being asked to do things he didn't do in Oakland. Also being targeted much more often. I know it's BR, but it's actually a good article with film breakdown. I would take Nnamdi and put him at FS in a heartbeat.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style
If the Eagles cut Nnamdi I would sign him up right away. Last year he was hurt, this year the Eagles are a mess and he's just caught in a funk.

An article printed about, linked somewhere in the forum (probably this thread), indicated he was an excellent technician rather than a speed guy but has lost a step. As a result, he can't make up for his missteps anymore.

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style
I'd really think twice about signing Asomugha. Raiders weren't contenders with him and the eagles got worse as a team when he signed. And he's 31 years old.
For the past few years, ever since haynesworth- the top defensive free agent that has broke the bank- has not fared too well. Asomugha included. Seems like they get fed and then they are fat and happy. They aren't hungry anymore. Haynesworth seemed to prove this both figuratively and literally. I would make it a rule to not break the bank with the top defensive free agent that's available especially if they're past 28 years old. I'm glad that teams have taken the offseason championship from the redskins like the eagles and the bills. |

Re: Around the NFL...Week 12 Style
Nnamdi looks like he's running in slow motion out there. Sometimes players drop off quick, others it's a slower decline. Looks like he's run straight off the cliff.

He would play only when we rush four - passing situations - we are bottom of the league in sacks and he is exactly what we need. Plus he wont affect the cap for next year.

Let's run a 3-4 defense and put a guy in who only does one thing. One of the main pros of the 3-4 is that the OLBs can rush and drop so it makes protections schemes harder to coordinate. Putting in a "rush specialist" essentially mitigates that advantage. Football is not Legos people. |
