Re: NFL divisional round thread.
That was a great catch AND a great throw by Romo{which is being way overlooked by the non catch}and another ballsy call by Garrett. But as soon as I saw the replay I thought it would be overturned, and it should have been, just like the RG3 call.Stupid rule, needs to be changed, but super glad it went against Dallas.
Lots of whining by Dallas fans, unbelieveable, especially after last week, plus their first td was setup by a bad pass int call. Russell Wilson is the man,I cant believe people on here still doubt his greatness and call him a running qb,he's so far ahead of RG3 its not funny, its sad, very sad. I would give up what we gave up for RG3 for Wilson right now no problem.

NFL divisional round thread.
Quote:
There are a slew of qb's that can look great with the coaching, defense, run game, oline, and home field that team has built around Wilson. Lets not discount that. In no way does Wilson carry that team on his back, but he is a really good qb. Edit : put Luck, Rodgers, and a couple others on the Seahawks and nobody even is in a game with them. |

The arguement Wilson is a system qb, not good passer, cant carry the team, etc...is stale. Wilson is one of the best QB in the league, certainly top 10.

Defenses still have to pay attention to beast mode when he is on the field, and the oline and playcalling are superb. What Luck does with the Colts is amazing, what Wilson does with the Seahawks is expected. |

Re: NFL divisional round thread.
Maybe I am misinterpreting what you are saying but I disagree. There are plenty of QBs given the same team that wouldn't be able to do jack with it. Wilson is much better at reading the defense and making passes than he gets credit for on here. Plus he has shown improvement over his three years. I would never say he is as good as Luck, but he is definitely a second tier starter imo.

And no, Wilson cannot carry a team, because he doesn't have to. And that will continue to be the case until Seattle's defense is no longer elite.

Supposedly this picture was taken when the Dez catch call was reversed.
Note Christies face, upper right. Note little girls face, lower. (click on picture to enlarge)

The block that wasn't heard around the world could have sprung C.J. Anderson against Colts - Mile High Report
This is the kind of bullshit I'm talking about. You don't see guys on a Belichick coached team doing stuff like this. I'm dumbfounded by those two idiots. Hats off the CJ Anderson though. That guy was giving it his all out there.

Re: NFL divisional round thread.
I tell ya...yesterday I just felt so bad for Peyton. That was tough to watch...and it had nothing to do with his previous playoff record. He was seriously struggling to get the ball down field. Sux to watch a guy like that regress

You can tell that his arm strength wasn't there yesterday for whatever reason. edit: Now we know why his strength wasn't there. Torn quad muscle.

Manning has nothing left the prove. He looked old and his arm is shot. Luck was making throws that Manning can no longer make. He should retire.

Re: NFL divisional round thread.
I hope Peyton retires. Otherwise next year will be hard to watch. I hope he leaves us with memories of a great QB, not a struggling old man (by NFL terms).

Re: NFL divisional round thread.
ravens - got a late jump to work this morning. 2 things i noticed listening to the 10 am sports radio.
1- vinny is a bumbling idiot. the guy cant complete a sentence or connect thoughts. 2- some ravens fans want to draft winston and fire ozzie if he has a bad draft. cowboys - tough way to go out. technically the right call. loved reading cowboyszone last night. broncos - i give props to the FO and owner for making an all out push during the off season knowing it was super bowl or bust w peyton. it didnt work out but bronco fans have to thank the organization for making every effort. great games, the seahawks were never in doubt. really love the Div Champs matchups.
