Gonna need to play some complementary football.
Agree with you and 69. That's why they really are serious about fixing the run game.

None of those guys helped the team last year and all underperformed their contract.

Keim's tweet earlier today pretty much sums it up:

https://twitter.com/john_keim/status/771128893021577217

Our defensive line has a lot of guys at the same level.

Baker is the best of the bunch and is far from being able to take over a game.

I do want to throw a mea culpa out there. You posted when they signed Reyes that he was PFF's worst rated DL last year. He has certainly lived down to that so far this year. Blind sqirrel, nut, yada. . .

It's all talk til they actually produce a good run game. But until then we'll have your excuses and snark and insider knowledge of their true intent.

I'm not a crazy person when I say Jay is pass focused. I'm not sweating the run game at all...that's your hangup. I'll be excited to see this top 10 running game it sounds like they're planning.

Truth is this team will live by our passing game and with our personnel I'm good with that.

Offense is gonna have to put the D in position to pass rush by getting the lead.

And if theyre down to signing dudes like Jenky ld try to sweet talk Hatcher out of retirement and kick the tires on migraine roast.

Again, no specifics about why the run game is bad other than Jay is a passing coach.

Lol, like u give a tinkers eff about it. If you're really that desperate to rehash old arguments knock yourself out searching through my old posts that details my thoughts from use of Compton at TE as a run tell, to repeatedly using the same players to block and fail to set the edge on outside zone over and over and over and over then stand bewildered when they can't block they still can't block the edge...Einstein said something about slamming ones head into a brick wall. All the while we have one of the best FBs in the NFL on the sideline sucking his thumb...from your pal Mike's ability to produce a better run game with less talent to Hue success with the same personnel in Cinci etc..etc..etc..it's all there in my old posts.

Like I said the run game is your hangup now, I've accepted our run game for what it is and I applaud Jays passing game. I don't care about the form success takes only the function of winning.

You like that? You like that!

lol, I do hope Kelley gets to the bench early tonight.

Oh, BTW Perry Riley isn't pushing Will Compton for playing time.

Marcel Jensen and Derek Carrier weren't on a roster before they were signed here. Our depth was terrible on the edge.

That being said, week after week Cooley would break down film and it would always be a different break down on every play. There wasn't a consistent breakdown or fail. Different players failed on different plays. No offense, but I like Cooley's film break downs better than your generic platitudes.

In the Atlanta pre-season game it was the same thing as last year when our run game struggled. There were different break downs each play. If one player was consistently breaking down Callahan would have benched him and next man up.

The one theme from the Atlanta game that was obviously coaching from the outside looking in was not firing off the ball. The entire O line was standing up and pausing rather than firing off the ball.

Fire Callahan and hire Bugle. Our line should be able to fall forward for 4 yards if they come off the ball. We don't need 13 running schemes that makes our line think at the snap, half that and go forward.

I also concede, Perry was a thumper, he was just always going in the wrong direction.

Re: Redskins Training Camp '16

Redskins C Kory Lichtensteiger has accepted a $1.25 million pay cut, dropping his salary from $3.5 million to $2.25 million.

The 31-year-old has two years left on his deal and was likely on the chopping block if he didn't accept the slash in pay. The Redskins have been trying to find his replacement, acquiring ex-Patriots C Bryan Stork only to see him fail his physical. Spencer Long and Josh LeRibeus have also been tried at center.

basically your not living up to your contract and your terrible

if my math is right, based on schneed's last update; we now have about $20m in cap room.
