@GregBishopSI Kirk Cousins father, Don, says he would not have signed any contract offer from the Redskins this summer. Even for the highest contract in NFL history (which he will likely sign this offseason). Been nice knowing you Kirk. Sorry Dan and Bruce had to fuck it up for you. So bottom line is he doesn't want to play for the Redskins no matter the money.

He will certainly reassess anew this offseason and consider his options if not franchised. Based on performance this year he has to have better faith that he’s in decent hands with Jay than he might have thought he’d be. Who knows, he may decide another option is better, but the Jason Reid nonsense that he’s still jilted by Snyder ignoring him after the Cleveland game in 2012 is just ridiculous. He’s not a petty person. He’ll simply think critically; where is my best option or the next 3-5 years.

Transition Tag or long term contract. I really hope those are the only options team discusses internally.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
The Snyder owned Redskins have a history of mismanaging QBs.
Brad Johnson - bring in Jeff George and encourage controversy. The Spurrier era QB carousel - disaster Trading for Mark Brunell - Jacksonville was going to cut him, dunno if there was trade competition from other teams. Keeping Jason Campbell when he was being outplayed by Todd Collins. McNabb - What was going on with the contract controversy anyways? All the audible and wristband nonsense? His play and numbers looked good to me. Grossman/Beck - shame we couldn't have gotten a better QB then. At least Grossman had heart, the team liked him. RG3 - made himself a liability with Snyder's help Cousins - sure let's jerk around and let walk the best QB we've had since Brunell. I think the Snyder Skins are doomed to fail until they get a handle on getting and keeping a good QB. |

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
I may be wrong, but I thought Brunell only developed the "noodle arm" at the end of his time here. And the Skins let him go at the right time. Hence I only criticize trading for him when we might have gotten him cheaper in $ and keeping a 3rd pick.

Yeah but 05 was a magical year tho, as far as Redskins qb play goes.

Re: Cousins Saga 4.0. Is he done in DC?
I will say, Brunell did give us those bombs to Moss, so I can't hate him but so much. I just remember being so frustrated how he played.
