I agree. While it's fun to have these "who's better" debates we shouldn't do it at the expense of appreciating two of the greatest QBs in NFL history playing right now right before our eyes. They're both outstanding and I only hope we can one day talk about Jason Campbell in the same way.

By the way having a rookie quarterback start for you in the playoffs is a recipe for going home no matter how good your team may be. New England is mostly no names with a few great players and the sickest QB I've ever seen play.
Tom Brady is the best football player in the NFL.

Ever.

This is my thread from a long time ago. Before Brady even threw 50 TD's,
but after the 3 Rings.

It turned into a Brady vs Manning thing, but I challenge any Warpath Member to try not to get embarrassed by me by arguing that there is another QB better.

Today? Or yesteryear?

Manning? No way.

GTRIPP?

Tom Brady is the ICEMAN.

I think someone has a man crush.

Best player ever? I'm not even sure he's the best QB ever.

LOL, I love the epic bumps. People are going back through their old threads and seeing where they hit.

I do think Brady is one of the best ever, but I do also think Manning has always had a worst OL and D around him. He had to make all the adjustments on his own. Now it would be sweet if we lived in a test tube world and could take Manning, put him on the Pats for all those years and see how he would've done. Or Brady on the Colts.

Bracing for embarrassment....

Re: Tom "Iceman" Brady

I'd still take Manning if I had to choose one to start a franchise with. No embarrassment here.

Brady's good. But I'll take Manning with his 1 super bowl ring to toms 3 but thats a story for another day. I'm commenting because I'm not looking forward to playing them later in the year. They look really really good, but beatable on defense. Offense though...we will get beat badly IMO.

You're certainly entitled to that opinion. Wrong as it may be.

Although not a perfect example to back my thoughts but when Brady went down Cassel looked great with the Pats, but Collins has looked so-so this season with the Colts. Perhaps one can argue, Cassel did so well because the parts around him are better than what the Colts have provided Collins. Ergo, the better team (Pats) allowed Brady a better chance at success than Manning has ever had with the Colts.

Brady is the best QB of all time IMO and I've seen many greats play but his numbers and rings speak for themselves

I could go back FOUR weeks to the THREAD I started where I GUARANTEED that Rex Grossman would be the starting QB this year.

I said everyone could make fun of me if I was wrong.

It was just after halftime of the BUCS preseason game.

When all the Redskins Insiders and most of this BOARD had been convinced that Beck was the starter.

For a more recent QB hit?

cheating and spying on other teams and getting their signals for that same period that the super bowls were won have/should/would/will always question how that player and his team got an unfair advantage over another team.

Quit you day job and buy a one-way ticket to Bristol. SS told me they take walk-ons. I am sure you will give Dilfer a run for his money.
