Wouldn't think the coach would expose his starting QB to two quarters of meaningless football with the regular season only a week away.

I just get a kick out of how opinions continue to change about Beck/Grossman from week to week. You're only as good as your last play is hard at work here.

Meh, maybe, maybe not. I think they just wanted to get Beck some extra work. That's about as far as I would look into that. If that was truly the case why was the starting OL out there?

Yeah, I changed that stance a bit after I made that comment. Usually 1 + 1 = 2, but not so much in Shanny's case. I like how he basically conceals and misdirects so much stuff that nobody really knows on what he's going to do. It's refreshing, and the exact same thing Bellicheat does.

I think too much is being put into Rex not playing tonight.

1 -- The starting OLine played the whole first half with Beck which would seem to argue against the "shanny sits his starters" idea
2 -- Grossman is very much a known quantity (where is johnny5 lol)
3 -- Beck missed the first preseason game and needed snaps and practice

I will be glad once it is over, and I hope they don't wait to announce the decision, although the team may very well already know (what did TWilliams say

It was in the game thread, basically he was asked about how he felt playing a full half in every preseason game, and his response was "well we have to protect our starting qb", then he stuttered and added "whoever it is". Was just a misspoken word, but hey conspiracies have been built on less!

According to John Riggins. Beck is the starter this upcoming week against the Giants. Well, that was until he played poorly...lol
