Re: Tampa Bay vs Washington Gameday Thread
Last year there were only 2 receivers I felt deserved to make the team (moss and Armstrong). Joey Galloway was our #2 reciever and he didn't deserve to be on an NFL team. This year, there are 8 guys fighting for 6 spots and going to drop 2 guys who will be picked up elsewhere... How the he'll did shanahan bring that kind of competition here in one year?

How? Easy, the FO gave him plenty of draft picks, and they used them wisely for a change. |

Re: Tampa Bay vs Washington Gameday Thread
You wouldn't get much for Stallworth, Austin has more upside and would love to keep him instead.

Also, it seems that Keenan McCardell is doing a good job as WRs coach.

Re: Tampa Bay vs Washington Gameday Thread
I hate that Banks is so good as a returner (I know, an illogical comment) ...b/c I don't think he's that great at WR...or not as good as Austin could be. I hope they find a way to keep both of them. I wouldn't care much about losing Stallworth, and I don't think Paul gets picked up from waivers.

Re: Tampa Bay vs Washington Gameday Thread
I like our newbie wideouts, but I am not sure they would for sure garner more interest than Stallworth if the team is in dire need of a sure handed vet WR. I mean go for the proven commodity in the vet or go for a kid that is younger and had a nice preseason, but might not hack it as well during the real deal.

Re: Tampa Bay vs Washington Gameday Thread
I am with you on that. I am just saying though Austin might not necessarily be a more wanted commodity than Stallworth. Stallworth has been around longer, and everyone knows him. Austin is a newbie. A team might trade a low round pick for a sure handed vet WR that still has some left in the tank til 2012 and they will draft a guy. You and me know who Terrence Austin is, but not too many in the NFL do. My whole thing is to keep Terrence and trade Donte, but I am also saying Donte might garner more trade interest anyway.
