I would still lean towards the 223 lb stat from the combine. But going back to the topic, I don't see how his "style of play" which is pass first, and run if need be is gonna magically get him hurt.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

Anybody remember this?

Jason Pierre-Paul, New York Giants prepare to face Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins - ESPN New York

JPP saying don't bring it to his side in regards to the first game.

QB Griffin, 46-yd, run - NFL Videos

Now I can see why he didn't want us to bring it to his side. So we wouldn't make him look like a total clown on national TV

I can see why Coughlin had this look on his face most of the night.

There has been a many a coach have that look when facing a good triple option team. Just usually not in the NFL!!!!

I agree with the 223 part, but even at 217, he's not some scrawny pencil thin guy. My only point was Eli is 2 inches taller at the same listed weight, and Favre, the qb iron man, was the same height and basically the same weight. As Matty said, he will put bulk on in the offseasons and his frame certainly looks to support it.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

Worrying about RGIII getting hurt is a waste of time. Like everyone in the NFL he will have his injuries. That is why you develop guys like cousins. Brady, Manning, etc...have all had their lost seasons sadly RGIII will also; just a inherent risk of the game.

The solution to RGIII getting hit is to have a capable backup who can execute the same offense. Or a close approximation. We're a little short there right now.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

Can anyone find and or post the pick of JPP on the sideline with his helmet sitting on his head where he just looks like he has no clue on what to do to stop Griff. It was at the end of the game but I can't find an image.

Thats like saying the solution to getting in a car accident is to make sure you have a good second car. Thats a horrible plan. The real solution is to drive safely so that you can avoid getting into an accident to begin with.

The solution to RGIII is to do everything you reasonably can to prevent him from taking too many unnecessary big hits. You dont change your offense. You dont tell him not to run. You PROTECT him buy upgrading the offensive line. Otherwise, if RGIII gets hurt and a backup comes in, the backup will just get hit just as much, if not more, than RGIII. Then what do you do when that guy goes down? Fix the problem and you dont need 10 backup QBs who are "close approximations" of RGIII.

Re: Giants at Redskins Post Game Thread

RG3 can help himself too by getting the ball out quicker. That will come with more experience, and part of it is the guy is fearless and isn't afraid to take a hit.

Its like a damn baby design those plays. I think Come'on Man on ESPN should just be renamed Come'on Kyle with Jaws taking us through the horrible job he is doing.

oH we blew the Giants defense mind for the second time this year? nevermind....

Well, they want it quiet when we're on offense, yes?
