How much different is Jackson's offense going to be from the one he just failed in?

I'm not getting the optimism. Worse offensive line, worse weapons = success?

We will see how much Hue Jackson believes in RG3 during the draft

Even if he feels like RG3 still has unlimited potential, he'd be dumb not to draft a qb with a pick that high and a guaranteed availability of at least 1 top guy. I think they draft a qb, give RG3 every chance to earn the job, and if he earns it and plays well they trade him eventually for a nice bounty while they give the starting job to the elite rookie waiting on the bench. And if RG3 doesn't play well he never sees the light of day and becomes the next plot in the quarterback graveyard that is Cleveland.

The Brown's are really a bad situation for any QB.

I'm surprised nobody has scooped up D. Young yet.

Ten teams — the Arizona Cardinals, the Cincinnati Bengals, the Chicago Bears, the Denver Broncos, the San Diego Chargers, the Miami Dolphins, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Indianapolis Colts, the St. Louis Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles — do not have a fullback listed on their roster.

For years, the NFL has been shifting toward a pass-dominant league. According to Football Outsiders, teams operated out of the shotgun formation on 61 percent of snaps in 2014, compared to just 20 percent in 2006. Even when quarterbacks are under center, fullbacks are seeing less playing time.

Teams like the Bengals or Colts, which don’t carry a fullback, will line up a tight end as an H-back, slightly offset behind the tackle’s hip, or they’ll motion into the backfield when they feel the need to have a lead blocker. Ryan Hewitt, a second-year tight end from Stanford, is listed on the Bengals’ roster as an H-back. The Bears have a fullback listed on the depth chart, but it’s tight end Zach Miller.

Once the strength of an offense, fullbacks becoming a dying breed in pass-first NFL - Washington Times

I think DY's skill set will get him a vet min contract w someone this year .. im still amazed that we refused to use him more when we didnt have the TEs to run callahan's TE run scheme .. I still want answers on that one.

Eagles are transitioning to an offense that will use the fullback. They didn't have one on the roster last year.

Perish the thought...

well, it's no like DY would be the key to an iggles super bowl run, so while i like him, his employment status is one big "whatever" in my book.

Re: NFL Free Agency 2016

i don't think nelson is, because we haven't heard anything. whitner is definitely interesting, but he probably wants more money than we want to pay... the timing is bad for him though, so maybe there's some value there.
