I might agree if it were clear who he'd bring in as coordinators, particularly OC. Given his breakdown with Jackson and the similarity with JD5, I'd want to be sure he had a viable plan in that area, because he's a defensive coach. To be fair to DQ he brought in KK because he needed someone he could totally trust with the O, which mainly worked out. I'd want to see Harbaugh bring in someone with real NFL pedigree and/or a young up and coming in the McVay/Shanahan mould. At least he'd give us immediate confidence he could rebuild the D though.

He is a special teams guy so not sure I agree with the idea he would rebuild the D. Harbaugh will land on his feet and I am sure he will have some success wherever he lands but to play a little devils advocate here. His last DC was Zach Orr who if you watched the Ravens this year was way over his head and Monken the OC is rumored to have irreconcilable differences with Lamar on play calling, which may or may not be the right thing but clearly lead to a subpar product over the last few years, especially come playoff time.

I like the idea of keeping DQ. From what I have read it seems like a relatively weak HC field. (Whatever that means). If so if DQ nails these two coordinator picks we are in a good spot if not he will probably be released in what I will assume will be a stronger group of HC candidates.

Yes he was an ST coordinator but he's also played and coached DB's so he's got D credentials. Anyway, I agree we should keep DQ but he needs to nail the OC and DC hires.

I will say this -- the playcalling in the Steelers game was atrocious. And to a person, the Ravens fans I know are actually pleased he is moving on -- there were reports that he'd lost the locker room too. Not sure what to make of all that, and he had 12 winning seasons out of 18.

Come on down Mike.
You don’t need the stress of being a head coach.

This would be an upgrade!

Not so fast. I think Mike will pursue one of the other 7 openings at head coach first. Then, if that doesn’t work out; he’ll pursue OC.
