Re: 2010 NFL Off-Season Rumors and Reports (Week 5)
I don't see any fire behind the smoke where Landry is concerned. He's always been a guy who does whatever he pleases right? If his agent has any brains he's explained to Laron his trade value is practically zero, so if he hopes to rebound his career at this point AND earn another decent contract he should be working on a far better year (wearing the B & G). If Shanahan/Allen trade him now it says just how little they think of this kid.
I would feel sooooooo sorry to see Jason land in Oakland On the flipside it's one of the few franchises in the league he could fight for the starting role.

I wouldn't mind at all to see JC go to Oakland. At least he would have found a job in the NFL. Lets keep things in perspective.:cool-smil

That seems like a lot of trouble for a huge unknown, especially one that is likely going to the Rams. What is known is that McNabb is currently one of the most accomplished QB's in the league and he instantly makes the Redskins better. |

Not to mention that Bradford will be gone by the 4th pick.

^ Right. The Rams, not the Pigeons, will keep us from Bradford.

I don't care how the coaches would spin it, I will be pissed if they ship out the best DT in the league for a 3rd rounder. That is cutting off your nose to spite your face and is just plain stupid. |

Agree! Also ironically, I believe we would give up our 3rd, if we had one for AH in a second.

Who wouldn't? I was tilting towards Shanahan on this until I heard the guy on Kornheiser say that Shanny is forcing Haslett to install the 3-4. I think it is fine to move towards a 3-4 but the reason Shanahan was run out of Denver was his failings to build defenses. It is one thing to tell Haslett, "I want to be a 3-4 team in two years". It is completely different to force a 3-4 on your coordinator and run out the best defensive lineman in football on top of that and also render a double digit sack guy useless. We aren't even 100% positive that we have the linebackers to suceed in the 3-4 and now we are crippling our defensive line? We do not have enough picks to completely revamp a defense and our offense was the main problem last year. This looks like history repeating itself. |
