Re: Coaching Changes
Edit: sorry SS didn't see your follow up comments. Well I guess for Assistant Head coach it could be worth it for Williams, but if his defense plays well through these playoffs I would think he could possibly be in line for another shot at HC?

Re: Coaching Changes
...and I don't think it's fair to say Williams and Saunders really had their shot in DC. Offensively it was a strange concoction of Gibbs, Saunder and JC, which just never seemed to fire on all cylinders. When JC got injured we saw more of what the Saunders offense would really have looked like with Collins at Qb.
...personally I still think Danny should have made Williams HC, obviously defensive oriented, and Saunders the OC after Gibbs retired for good. Saunders would have likely started Collins in '08 and over time JC would observe how the offense worked. Whether Jason could actually learn to execute it is a whole nuther enchilada. Off soapbox.

Re: Coaching Changes
Ok so what college team has a WR position coach that would be good here? Preferably one with a college team that put up a ton of yards with their WR's.
and are there any WR coaches with any other NFL team that we could bring on board? |

Re: Coaching Changes
We may not have a dominant WR1 but I think for the most part our WR's are fine and we will see that when we get better QB play.

Re: Coaching Changes
Without really doing my homework I don't like that idea... WRs are largely so raw.. just good athletes in college. Not many colleges have a stable of crisp somewhat complete receivers.. most don't even have someone capable of being a number 2 or 3 in the league

Re: Coaching Changes
I'm sorry for the confusion, I'm thinking of who will be hired to be the WR coach? I was wondering what coaches are available to fill that position from other NFL teams and who is a good coach for that position from the college ranks?
I'm not talking about the WR's themselves. But I did like the "we need to get some WR's first" comment. Lol. |

Re: Coaching Changes
Cowpokes hired Bill Callihan as oline coach and oc. I would have gotten nervous if it was Harry Callihan.

Re: Coaching Changes
Could the Vikes offer the DC position to Morris?
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Jaguars defensive coordinator Mel Tucker turned down an offer from the Minnesota Vikings to remain in Jacksonville as the DC.

Re: Coaching Changes
Maybe we already have a potential playmaker besides Hank and he just hasn't been given a chance. I'd like to see one of the guys that we already have turn in the next Victor Cruz.
