This doesnt suprise me a bit. The only reason the boys signed him is because of parcells. he may not have wanted him but he is probably one of very few who could handle t.o. ,when bill leaves, his successor will have to put up with all the bull from t.o. and thats when it will all fall apart. this is going to be fun to watch...enjoy the antics of t.o. dallas fans

Seahawks | Holmgren discusses offensive line
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 19:13:21 -0800

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks OG Floyd Womack will move to left guard, according to head coach Mike Holmgren. The team will not move OG Sean Locklear away from his right tackle position. They will not push C Chris Spencer unless C Robbie Tobeck falters. Holmgren admitted he is unsure where OT Tom Ashworth will fit in.

way to make a move to sign a guy before you bother to figure out if you actually need him and where he'll be used.

Seahawks | Holmgren expected team to franchise Hutchinson
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 19:22:15 -0800

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Holmgren said he expected the Seahawks to franchise tag Minnesota Vikings OG Steve Hutchingson, who was given the transition tag by the Seahawks. Holmgren feels they should have used the franchise tag, but was already in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine when he fount out otherwise. Holmgren also feels the league needs to do something about poison-pill loopholes in contracts.

Seahawks | S. Wallace would remain No. 2 QB

Wed, 29 Mar 2006 19:20:53 -0800

Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports restricted free agent QB Seneca Wallace (Seahawks) would remain the No. 2 quarterback, even if the team brought in a veteran quarterback so Wallace could play wide receiver or handle punt returns.

Jets | Team lands A. Dyson
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 19:43:01 -0800

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the New York Jets have reached an agreement with free agent CB Andre Dyson (Seahawks) on a five-year, $11.5 million deal, including $3 million in signing and roster bonuses. Dyson will replace CB Ty Law as one of the Jets' starting corners.

seahawks and titans were trying for him as well. 2.3mill a year for a starting corner is CHEAP (almost less than a drafted carlos rogers). Bad injury year for him in 2005, but a quality #2 that's only 27.

I have a feeling the Jets will be back in somewhat decent form for next year. Maybe not playoff contenders, but not the doormats they once were.

Uhh, they got a better QB situation than anyone will give em credit for. Martin can still run. They are weak on the line, which will limit their offensive productivity substancially.

Oh yeah, and they have to play the Pats and the Dolphins twice next year.

I can't see that team going anywhere.

Twelve other games though. Not saying they're playoff contenders, but I'm saying maybe around the .500 mark. Just as I DON'T see the Cardinals going anywhere with James. TO isn't the end-all solution to the Cowboys problems and I don't think James will be either.

The thing with the Cards, is the passing game was already there. Now the running game is, and this makes the pass game even better. Now, the defense is another story.

Re: Official NFL Free Agent Signings Thread

Honestly, I don't think their lack of a running game was the result of having crappy RBs (which did contribute) I think it's purely o-line.

Their O-Line is pretty terrible. But if you were to ask me to pick one guy in the league on any team to run behind a pourous line and still create a comprable running game, I'd take edge.

That sounds like a bargain. That's too bad. Hopefully, the draft will be kind to us in the CB department.

Re: Official NFL Free Agent Signings Thread

I have this feeling we draft 3 CBs in this draft. At least ONE of them has to pan out.
