I think thats kind of weak logic. Let's say JC didn't say it, I would think the following reactions would be most likely:
1) go to Zorn and say "Hey, I don't know where that quote came from" and Zorn would smooth it with the FO

2) think, hmm I do feel that way, so I will just let it linger out there and not comment.

In no way would I think, given his less than out spoken nature, that he would respond with an angry rebuttal that he was falsely quoted.

Bradford 1, McCoy 2, Tebow we don't need, we already have two stud tight ends...

Thank you Jets for taking the decision out of our FO hands!
Rushing up there to pick definitely takes the edge away, making it seem like we wanted Orakpo from the beginning. Maybe we did.

I'd take Tebow in a heartbeat. Some guys are just winners and he's one of them. (I still prefer JC though)

Sanchez was taken before the 5 picks before us

I hope that we wanted Orakpo though

I'm sure our FO is going to try to spin this (it did work) for the best but I think they cut Campbell pretty deep. First Cutler then Sanchez. How much disrespect can a guy take?
4-5 mil isn't big money

the big money qb's are getting double digits

I would LOVE to hear a story of that being true. That would curb a lot of the "dumb and dumber" comments in reference to Snyder and Cerrato.

No thanks on Tebow, we already have C Portis to run the ball, If we draft a QB let's get a real one, lot's of players are winners in college..

He IS a winner. I don't question that, AT ALL. (I am also a Gators fan) I just don't see him as a successful NFL quarterback. PS He is a lefty, I hate left handed QBs.

ahh true, they might've offered basically nothing, didn't think of that

hahah, everyone was saying this would be the year al davis didn't select the fastest guy, but one of the best, ahahhaha, yeah.. should've known better than to have trusted the analysts on that one
