But, RGIII isn't just a pure runner. He's got plenty of other strong QB skills, so it won't be just a tuck and run situation. He's going to be able to extend plays in similar ways to pass the ball down the field. |

This is THE year that Shanahan gets his pieces (QB, depth guys) for the next 7 or 8 years for this franchise. Not saying we wont be players in FA, we will, but I liken the splash to a dive instead of a cannonball, maybe one marquee sign via FA, and I see that being either WR or secondary. |

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Noooo. I'm tired of losing with Vet QB's who have shown little to no potential. The fact that you put tannehill in there is what really makes this scenario even worse. I was watching his highlights against LSU last night and I litterally went from --> --> --> --> --> :vomit: from watching his highlights from beginning to end. If its RG3, Maybe Foles, Tyler Wilson, Kellen, then thats not as bad of a scenario, but Tannehill..no thanks.

Bottom Line - With an RG3, the possibilities are endless, and the ceiling is too high for us to see. I know I sound like a frikkin homer, but I really want a QB in DC. And I finally want us to go all in on a good prospect, and just go for it. Last edited by Mechanix544; 01-08-2012 at 02:42 PM. |

People said similar things about Cam last year too.

Give the guy credit, he's going to be the offensive rookie of the year and he broke Manning's record for passing yards as a rookie. He was very impressive. |

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Cam had an amazing season. I'd love him to be my QB, its like he doesn't get injured with all the hits he takes. Griffin on the other hand has been injured a lot in college.
The likelyhood of getting back to back cam newton-esque seasons from QB's is very unlikely if you ask me.

Re: The "Inside Word" on the QB Search
Damn, how would you define a great rookie season? Broke most rookie PASSING records, protected the ball relatively well, looked like a seasoned pro. Sounds like you have a problem giving credit to QB who have any type of running ability and dismiss all other aspects of their game.
