The only injury concerns are Ertz and Ekeler, and as I said, those were the low risk/high reward, incentive-laden deals that the team made.

Thanks because I wasn’t sure where to begin. These are far from the terrible contracts we used to hand out to over the hill stars. How anyone can have a problem with what Peters just did is bat shit crazy. But that will become painfully obvious when the season starts.

Some of these signings have been solid, some are real head scratchers and this is one of them.
He led the league in tackles last season. Still has something in the tank.

I kinda like Tyler Boyd as a security blanket type for the new qb. Only if he's cheap though.

I really don't get the Crowder signing.

I think he has to win the 5/6 receiver position or will get cut out of camp. Doubt there is much/any gauranteed money there

Seems like you'd want him to contribute at wr because he isn't a very good punt returner. Idk.

Not a huge deal either way of course. I'm sure he got very little guaranteed money.

He is one year older than London fletcher was when he got here and I think everyone would agree that was a great signing

Wagner on a 1 yr deal is a great move. Even at 33, he lead the league in tackles; and he’s an upgrade over Davis, and Mayo.

A lot of these moves like Wagner are about plugging holes, can’t do it all in the draft. If we signed Wagner to a multi year deal I could understand not liking it but come on people some of you just aren’t being realistic

Re: Commanders 2024 Free Agency Thread

I have to agree with Punch and MTK. This is plugging holes and attempting to build a competitive team for next season, on which to build the year after. If we get a franchise QB with the #2, great, but we still need to build up a team around that guy. We want to be the Texans not the Panthers; give your rookie QB a shot year 1, not stick him in the middle of a shit show and wonder why he sucks.
