Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
I would like to have seen him in a Skins uniform for the remainder of the season...but this isn't some major disaster that we didn't sign him. Think some people are going off the deep end here

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
A few things I alluded to earlier...
1) Moss probably commands some sort of leverage towards sitting out if he doesn't like the team. I can see him not wanting to deal with the, "Shanahan Factor" for lack of a better term (maybe Cardiovascular Factor?). He probably sent out a message to all the teams that will attempt to sign him. If I don't like you, I'm going to talk about how much I love Tom Brady and how much I had your coach. 2) This probably wasn't a good fit for the organization. Part of it has to do with Randy Moss' mental state. It doesn't mesh well with this team. Yeah, I've heard the "Not in our long term plan" argument... but neither is Joey Galloway (or Santana for that matter). He is a potential short term disaster, and that carries over to the credibility of the coach. Just look how stupid Childress looks right now. You think he's coaching the Vikings next year? 3) Who cares about a late round 5th round pick. It's not worth anything... lets just move along...and suck it up. It's not the end of the world, it's not the death of society.... nor is it the end of this season. Pretty much nothing has changed. In fact... Nothing has changed. 4) Yeah, I too entertained the idea of McNabb to Moss plural. It's fun to think about... but so is Jessica Alba. I'll go back to thinking about the latter.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
They conveniently forgot about Shanahan wanting guys who give their all. Moss would refuse no matter how much nagging he receives. Bad blood is not good for the locker room and is a REAL distraction.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
The season is over!!! Why isn't Cerrato here making knee-jerk free agent acquisitions anymore?!?! Shanahan and Allen obviously don't know what they're doing!!! We should've given up X amount of draft picks to acquire a WR on the downward trek of his career!!! This team is doomed!!! Ugh I'm going to weep, get high and drink PBR. Peace bitches.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Not only did we NOT improve our offense or give Mcnabb a true #1 WR target,we allowed the Titans to be better and improve.
We also play the Titans in 3 weeks on the road. And we haven't really played very well against 6'4" or big receivers in case you haven't noticed. (see Calvin Johnson and Andre Johnson) I didn't criticize Shanny for cutting B.Banks and starting him immediately I didn't criticize him for the Fat Albert fiasco all off season and i didn't even criticize him on pulling Mcnabb (yea,I think I'm the only one...lol) But this is just absolutely and monumentally freakin' retarded Shanny... You were willing to trade for moss with new England before the Vikings traded a 3rd rounder for him. (we were offering less) as reported by many sources. But you wouldn't claim him off waivers for free, block the Titans and give the offense 2 weeks to work him in the system for a Playoff run. Not to mention give Mcnabb a true weapon for when he adlibs on throwing the deep ball. Shanny..I can officially say..you're a freaking moron and you're FIRED!! Oh..and you'll tryout "coke head" Matt Jones, but pass on perhaps the 2nd greatest WR to ever lace them up. Yea,lets stick to Galloway and Roydell Well guys...it was a nice run, while it lasted. One thing is for sure....you won't have to worry about me posting 3 game look a head Threads. Shanny is using this season to put his stamp on the team....Playoffs are obviously not what he is after in his tenured season. Our FO is obviously clueless and flabbergasted from all the D.C. media stories. They can't handle it. Tme to hire Russ Grimm and fire this stupid POS.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Shanahan said Monday that he would consider Moss, which is more than the outright "we're not going in that direction" response he gave to Ed Werder and others when asked about TO before the season. I heard Schlereth talking last week about Childress's credibility issues, and he brought up (as he does frequently) how Shanahan created his own credibility problem in Denver when he let Steve Atwater go after the '98 season and signed Dale Carter, who lacked some respect around the league. Given the example he tried to make of AH this year, I'm guessing he considered that he risked going down the same path if he signed Moss, especially in light of the fact this is a week in which his judgment has been a tiny bit of an issue.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
I'm not disagreeing with you. Randy Moss is not a Shanahan-type guy, no doubt about that, and that is probably the main reason why he passed on him. But I was just suggesting that he may have had in the back of his mind one of the more notable instances in his career when he went a little bit off his own beaten path, and the response he apparently experienced in the locker room. It's possible, but it's still just my conjecture. He and Bruce may have simply decided that it wasn't a good football decision. I would have liked to see Randy Moss here, but I'm okay with the decision to take a pass, regardless of the reason.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
Did the Redskins really need a 3rd drama? Don't we have enough already? You guys want the Redskins to become Dallas East? I'm glad they didn't go after him, now they should promote Austin from the PS.

Re: Randy Moss Waived (claimed by Titans)
You guys above can pretend if you want, that we made the right move and hopefully we did.
But lets hope we aren't discussing this again when we lose to the titans 31-17 and Moss has 6 catches for 158 yards and 2 TD's cause we can't cover him. OK? I think it was a 'terrible" football decision,to not claim moss. Now,the titans will be getting a compensatory pick as well, when they decide to let Moss walk next season and probably net a 3rd rounder or so... Something,we also need. Draft picks to build this team. This wasn't a bad move...this was a very stupid..STUPID decision,to not claim him off waivers. imo
