Absolutely. Seems rare to walk into a franchise with a true franchise QB and in that regard Fisher is lucky. But still, the talent around Bradford was near the bottom of the league. What talent they did have, especially on offense, didn't play up to its potential. Fisher and the Rams had a strong off-season and he's got the team playing far closer to its potential.

Oh, about that.....
I knew someone would bring up tampa. I really did. I actually looked into my crystal ball and knew it would be you. Lol. I thought about tampa while i was writing that and ill tell you what. Ill take a 10 -6 season about now and feel damn good. Man i know the idea is to build a winning team in the mode of pats/steelers/packers. Win every year and sprinkle in a championship or two but at this point ill take a 10-6 season. Baby steps.

well my point was mainly Fisher walked in to a 1st overall qb not named JaMarcus. Shanahan walked into JC. from that point yes the tail chasing for a qb is on Shanahan. I would take 2 first rounds to 0 for the next 2 years as a better drafting position.

Not trying to be Debbie Downer here but I'm not a fan of EVER trading away draft picks and you do not see any of the top teams do it. I never thought I'd see the day where Alex Smith is leading one of the leagues best teams. Seems like the SF coaches have not only coached up Alex Smith, but their top ranked defense.

I expect the Rams to be able to compete by 2015. Considering their drafts, and the first round picks they'll get from us for the next few years as well as their own, they should be able to contend for playoff births by then.

Re: Falcons at Redskins Post Game Thoughts

Another hype job of a season that is going bust before week 8. We have some nice RBs, a pretty decent line, a nice batch of LBs, and of course RG3, but we still don't have a secondary, or to be honest a good WR corp. I like Santana doing damage late, but take away Garcon's initial quarter as a Redskin and he must be termed a possible bust at this point. The youngsters are serviceable, but nothing much else thus far either. I guess it isn't fair to call the season a bust til after week 8, but it already has the feel that we are muddling through.

OK, I'm going to play for this comment only. He's been fairly healthy his whole career, had a career high with garbage QBs last year and dropped a few last game after being hurt. Bust already? If RG3 was hurt after having a good first quarter week one and then did just OK last game would you say bust then too?

Seems mighty hasty to me.

Yeah. And they beat us this season. And with the rookie salary cap those first round picks are a lot more valuable than they were a couple years ago. If I were a Rams fan, I'd feel pretty good about the trade so far. They're probably looking at next draft's pick from us being top ten.

We did get the better QB out of the deal. Shanny making the best of our drafting situation in 2013 like he did in 2011, would help a lot. Becoming a good 3-4 defense (we really weren't that good last season) would be nice too.

Clearly you are not intelligent enough to stay out of the vortex or you would known Garçon was a bust before we signed him and that, because of the need for speed at the WR position, Gaffney was a much better fit because he once fished and so was familiar with Fisher who should turn the Rams into a winner in two years even before he was hired due to the powerhouses he played as a safety for the Houston Oilers while playing on a sprained ankle because he wasn't a wimp but Fisher couldn't beat Gruden when Gruden was coaching the Raiders but Gruden was also once a cook at Hooter's so he didn't wait tables and would never have been called a Garçon.

So obviously Shananhan should be fired.
