Re: 2014 NFL Draft: Rounds 2-3

If stats determined draft status Terrance West {RB Townson} would have been a top 5 pick.

Rushing:
413 Attempts
2,509 Yards
6.1 YPC
41 TD's

Personally, the only pick that should warrant a response like what we've seen from some people today is a really bad first round pick, since a first rounder is almost always expected to contribute significantly and even start. From the second round on, it could go either way in my opinion.

Yes it can, but go with the odds. Nix and the like. We reached tonite big time. Oh well. Hope to hell they all work out.

So how would a guy like Dri Archer fit here with our 4th?

Jinx Jinx!

Cool with me though. I dont think we need to be drafting a WR personally, need some decent DB depth and good teamers

he wouldn't, since the steelers took him in the 3rd.

All we have to base our opinions on rite now are what we read and hear about him, and none of it points to get up and dance. Sorry.

TV analysts? That's the problem. They don't do this for a living. They do this for entertainment. It's a huge reason why most of these draftniks were picking Teddy Bridgewater to go first from the get go. Once they started to talk to REAL scouts and pro people, they quickly realized he wasn't the QB talent they thought he was and hence knocked him down their boards. (Mayock even noted as much) My guess is they aren't watching All-22 film nor do they have access to practice film like the pro teams do. A lot that goes on that these analysts simply don't get.

I have no problem with people not liking the pick. At least provide evidence to back up your case. Ex: LL/HTTR breaks down all-22 film during the season after games to make his case on particular issues.

My bad lol, but how wierd is that really ..

I agree with DBS, but I think we have some big time ST teams guys now. I still believe we need a speed pass catching rb/returner player. Helu can't do both, or even a player that may have to replace Morris if we can't resign him in a couple of years.

i haven't followed the whole thread, but I know we get some "overreaction" at times. Lol

I think we made a mistake by passing on a talent like Brooks at 78, in a serious position of need....and S is becoming much more of a premier position with the spread Os and 6' 4" plus TEs who can run.

I like a mauling G as much as anyone, but we could've gotten that later IMO.

Personally, I would have prefer to see the safety position addressed in free agency (and not just stop gaps). Maybe they are counting on Phillip Thomas. I was a bit surprised not to see a DB picked in these two rounds. Would like to see one picked tomorrow.

Here is my case....their are 31 teams in the NFL that wouldnt have taken him in the third round and one that did.
Edit: i think you are underestimating the tv analysts.

No shit, it's like the when announcers say he hasn't thrown a pick in 147 attempts or he hasn't missed his last 10 FGs ! Hahaha
