Multiple times I counted to 7... 8... 9... while he held onto the ball. No one's open? Get rid of it. But, he took the sack. Or at the least a big hit.

This defense has talent despite what most say, we were missing some players and contained SF. What pisses me off is the inconsistency. Did anyone see Boldin jawing with Haslett on the sidelines.

D played well enough to win, but San Frans offense isnt that good this year.

Yes...I did see Boldin yammering at Haslett....It looked really stupid... It's lucky that the Redskins didn't get penalized when Haslett pushed Boldin

We played them at their home minus Williams, Reed, Baker and Amerson. Lost Porter, Biggers and Heyward. I won't be too critical of RGIII with Moses getting worked by Smith. Believe or not I saw some good things like Philip Thomas and Ducre in addition to Morris, Hatcher, Keenan Robinson(was a beast).

The only long pass plays are where the WR runs after the catch.

You can't keep saying oh well he didn't really cost us the game the D did, or the O-line,or the ball boy. A QB is not judged by how well he didn't lose the game, he is judged by how well he won you the game. Three 1st round and a 2nd round for a guy to hand to ball to Almo, I could fucking do that. Stop setting the bar so low and looking at this guy with rose colored glasses. He is a bust.
I don't think he's a bust just not right in the system.

Actually I need to retract my statement about RGIII needing to be on the bench.

Dude Draft a freaking tackle the guy was getting worked like Charles Mann was on the other side in his prime.

Not going to win games in the NFL with 100 yards passing. Bench Griffin and put him out of his misery. That was atrocious today.

Very difficult to believe considering the weapons we have invested for him. I saw a big difference in confidence between two QBs today who are quite often compared.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

The defense played up to 95% of its potential today. Hasletts best game maybe? The offense might be at 50% of its potential. Offensive line is garbage and neither RG/Gruden have what it takes to overcome it. RG was tough as nails today and I noticed cbs showed a lot of his WRs covered downfield. The only pass play where he had time was the early bomb to Jackson, perfect throw but Jackson bobbled it. Not many QBs can make those throws.

dDiscipline on offense is still abysmal, illegal formations and false starts and poor performance especially across the oline.

As far as Griffin goes, its always darkest before the dawn - so it had better start dawning on him pretty quickly cuz these last two games were pretty dark.

Re: Skins vs. Niners Gameday Thread

And at this point I'm certain Griffin's tenure here is almost over. We could allow him experience the rest of year - but suspect that will eventually lead to losing the locker room, unhappy WRs, and coach losing everyone. Wouldn't be surprised if we traded Griffin in offseason, although I could see us doing a prove-it last year of contract given low-risk and very few other QB options.

Questions:
1) How did P.Thomas play - I didn't get a chance to see much of him except fumble recovery.
2) What exactly did Amerson do to violate team rules? Seems strange to handicap the team on a big game like this, unless it was a big deal..

David Amerson did not play for the Washington Redskins in their 17-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday because he missed at least part of a team meeting late last week, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

It’s unclear whether Amerson, one of the Redskins’ two starting cornerbacks, was not present for the start of the meeting or missed it altogether. Coach Jay Gruden confirmed Amerson broke a team rule but did not share what he did when asked, saying only that “it’s just an in-house deal.”
