Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Doesn't make a lot of sense for some players to be in free agency with a lower cap this year. Also, I wonder if a tagged BS can become a trade asset. Just throwing it out there.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
There are cases where it could make sense, with a high-leverage position on a team contending. We are not such a case. Just be aware without him our already mediocre OL is going to get worse fast. That is not the end of the world, but our C and RT look much more mortal without Scherff locking up one side for them. You basically need to start over on OL, which could be better long term. Rather pay $15M+ a year to a RT or LT than a freaking RG. More mismanagement from the past haunting us. For me, very tough to give a huge deal to Scherff because of injury history. But can you really let our only elite offensive player walk?

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Slow time so I'm gonna post this here.Saw snippet of Dale Ernhardt Jr podcast with ex falcon coach Jerry Glanville.Glanville hasnt spoken to Gibbs since 91 playoff cause he's still pissed about what the condition of the turf was, that his team was fast and they didnt turn the pumps on to drain it,and he claimed it hadnt rained in 2 months, which has got to be a load of crap
So he blames that on Gibbs, and it's not like he wouldnt have done the same thing anyway if he thought it would give his team an advantage. I wish Dale Jr,{being as he is a redskin fan should know this},would have brought up the absolute shellacking the skins put on the Falcons earlier in the year on dry turf, probably Rypiens finest day as a qb. On side note not related to football but related to Joe Gibbs, his grandson won his first ever xfinity race in dramatic fashion on last lap, that was pretty cool

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Even on a neutral field we would have smoked them. They just weren't anywhere near the same class as the 91 Redskins. I'm sure Gibbs is heartbroken that Glanville won't talk to him.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
I doubt Gibbs even remembers who Glanville is.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
there may be some truth to glanville's comments but it's called home field advantage. 91 falcons had a good team but they were not as complete as the 91 skins.

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Glanville was and always will be a clown. Notice how everyone talks about his sayings and his personality and never his talent as a coach. That’s because he didn’t have any.
