I think if we get Williams it will be a good receiving corps. If we get 85, it will be a great receiving corps. i have nothing against rw but i wan a big name receiver.

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G

I'm starting to think that Recievers are overrated. As I said before the Giants main strenth was a great D-Line and a serviceable secondary. The Patriots had an 1337 passing attack. The Giants won.

The desire to get an overpriced premadonna seems futile when you look at the fact that we have an elite TE and a good recieving core that will be made better with the addition of a guy like Hacket. And if I'm wrong then we can use this year to save some cap space and sign Roy Williams next offseason.

Look we're not the Titans, we do have guys that can catch the ball and help us move it downfield. What we need to do is start rebuilding our offensive front with guys like Thomas, Jansen, and Kendell in their 30's, Samuals on the other hand will probably be effective till he's 35 years old so no need to worry about him. It would be a miracle if a guy like Albert fell to us in the second round but we should be fine with a reach on a mauler like Schuning. Right now I'm more concerned about getting our running game in gear.

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G

I would love to have CJ in B&G, but only if his price tag is not rediculous. I feel if we did happen to get a trade for him, it would cost us dearly, actually hard to tell how much we would have to give up just to get him, not including what we would have to give him to keep him.

I agree with you 100%. No reason to get a drama queen wr when we can draft someone in the 3rd round and groom him. I'd like to see us draft a DE in round one and a guard in round 2. This guard from VA. (forgot his name) looks like he can walk in and start right away.

Re: Ocho Cinco In B&G

Would I like CJ...yes. Would I like RW...yes. Would I like any of the tall WR that are available...yes. We need someone tall and big. Moss is our speed WR. Randell El has turned out nicely. I think we need one more big and tall WR to make the team something special.

We really only have two WR on the team unless it was the scheme of Gibbs that made all the other WR seem to lack talent. I would also say I was not impressed with our WR coach since it seemed like our WR had a hard time with routes and seperation. I hope the new WC scheme of Zorn's will bring out the best in our WR. I would still like a tall WR to give JC someone to throw the ball up to once in a while...like 3rd and a mile.

Lastest news:

Quote:
The Redskins don't expect the Bengals to deal Chad Johnson.
Due to the cap implications, neither should anyone else. The Washington Post also mentions that new coach Jim Zorn wants to speak with Brandon Lloyd before he is cut. We still can't imagine Lloyd returning to D.C.

Quote:

Bengals coach Marvin Lewis says he hasn't spoken with Chad Johnson in the last ten days.
It's almost a surprise they were in contact that recently. Chad's disgruntled antics have slowed down over the past two weeks, but something is bound to happen late next month, when his $250,000 roster bonus comes due.

CJ's probably hoping that the thread ends up being 85 pages long.

Why only 12 hours, he's not a free agent. I thought the trade deadline was later in the year
