I still think Beck gets the nod.

Should be interesting to hear the reactions when we know the starter.

Re: Who do you want to start at QB?
Am I one of the only people around here that thinks Rex did a really excellent job running the offense this preseason?
You know he only did it against the STEELERS and RAVENS fist team defenses. It's not like he was facing the Tampa Bay Bucs and their vaunted second stringers I'll give you that. I don't think Beck's preseason body of work was even close to Grossman. I have no clue what football games these reporters and many of you were watching when I hear people say that the two performances were pretty equal, because they absolutely were NOT. What I saw from Grossman was a QB that has matured, one who was able to make very stout defenses nervous. UHHHHHHH we can win football games with that type of QB play. Like others said though.. Rex was doing Rex... He'll throw for 400 against Pitt, but throw for 120 and 4 turnovers against the Rams

Grossman was Grossman.
I really didn't see anything different than what we saw last year. |

Rex played well, but I don't like his inability to throw the deep ball. Beck has big play ability because of his footwork and stronger arm.

Re: Who do you want to start at QB?
I think after a few more games under Becks belt he will seperate himself from Grossman. The competition is pretty even @ this point but Grossman has had many more games to develop over his career. So, Beck gives the Skins the best opportunity to make a leap..............

Let's face it, neither one of these guys are great QBs.

Re: Who do you want to start at QB?
I agree with wilslwilso 100%. Rex looks much more comfortable then beck. Beck also has a problem with starring down his receiver. I'm just not sold on beck like so many others seem to be. Rex,by far,had a better pre-season.

Re: Who do you want to start at QB?
I know it's been said, but the point isn't that Rex looked more or less polished, but instead that a guy with a total of 4 starts played a longtime vet to a basic tie. You put Beck in, in the hopes that he can translate book learning, and on field reality to improved performance over the course of a season.

i would also disagree with the notion that rex and beck played to a "basic tie". rex clearly outplayed beck this pre season. the stats might be close but not their actual play on the field.
