Re: Kudos to RG III
Love it how at the beginning of the year scouts, analysts, writers, etc. were saying RG3 would be good, but won't duplicate or have a season as good as Cam Newtons season, because his season is a 'once in a generation; never been seen before, type of performance'...
...Yeah they're right RG3 actually is having a better season than Cam ever did last year...

RG3: Succeed
Tony Romo: Fail It doesn't get much better than this. It feels good to give the girl's fans chiz. Midgets lose to GB and then we beat the Midgets and then we are looking playoffs. |

Re: Kudos to RG III
Could RG3 become the first 3,000/1,000 QB? The third player named ROY and MVP?
Could RG3 become the first 3,000/1,000 QB? The third player named ROY and MVP? Posted by Chad Morgan | 1 comment Robert Griffin III has been without a doubt the best QB in the NFL over the past two weeks. The rookie sensation has thrown 8 touchdowns and one interception and put together a stat line of 34 completions in 43 attempts with 511 yards. He was named NFL Offensive Player of the Week against the Eagles and could do it again for his play against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Add his 113 yards on the ground on 18 carries the past two weeks and anyone can see that not only will RG3 make a claim for Rookie of the Year in the NFL, he is well on his way of making a claim for MVP in the NFL in 2012. Pin ItRobert Griffin III Could Make NFL History This Year Becoming The First QB To Throw For Over 3,000 Yards And Rush For 1,000. If RG3 Keeps Up His Spectacular Play, #10 Could Become The Third Player Behind Hall Of Famers Jim Brown And Earl Campbell To Win Rookie Of The Year And MVP In The Same Season Heading into the Week 13 game against the New York Giants, Griffin has thrown for 2,504 yards with 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He has completed nearly 68 percent of his passes for the season. RG3 has 99 carries on the year for 642 yards and six scores on the ground. There have been dual threat QB’s from the past and we all know them: MIke Vick, Bobby Douglas, Randall Cunningham, and John Elway; the list could go on and on. Vick is the only QB to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season and done that in 2006 with 1,039. Bobby Douglas ran for 968 yards and 8 touchdowns on the ground in 1972. Cunningham ran for 942 on the ground in 1990. He had over 3,400 yards passing that season and came the closest of any QB before or since to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in a season. Could that be until RG3? With the way that the season has been going for the Redskins and the latest surgence in the offense, the reality of Robert Griffin becoming the first 3,000/1,000 QB in NFL history is certainly possible of happening. 3,000 yards in the air is a no brainer and will happen without a doubt. In order for him to get 1,000 on the ground, Griffin will have to average a little over 60 yards rushing a game over the last five games. That is certainly able to happen because Griffin has been able to show his running ability all season long. I will certainly go out of my way and say this, if Griffin is able to pull off a 3,000/1,000 season, he will no doubt be the NFL MVP. There have only been two players in the history of the NFL to win the Rookie of the Year and the Most Valuable Player in the same season and they are both Hall of Famers. Jim Brown done it in 1957 in his first year with the Cleveland Browns. 1978 was the year of the one and only Earl Campbell of the Houston Oilers and he was the other to pull off the feat. If Robert Griffin III is able to become the first QB in history to throw for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season, there is a very good chance that he could become the third Rookie of the Year winner to be named the MVP of the National Football League in the same year. |

Re: Kudos to RG III
He's on pace for 3642 yards passing and 933 yards rushing. He'll need to pick up the pace a bit to hit 1000 yards rushing. Amazing numbers either way.

Re: Kudos to RG III
That 's OUR QB. Seems unreal for us to have a QB this good after all these years of dismal to fair QB production.
