Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Has he said 95% of the players love Robert? I must have missed that.

Also London was quoted as saying this about RG3, just so you know “This is a great young leader, man,” Fletcher said. “Sometimes, I don’t think people really appreciate how great this kid is because, I know, last year he stepped on the scene and he did so much stuff. He was asked to be a savior of a franchise that hadn’t had a franchise quarterback in 20 some-odd years. He came in and you talk about giving up all the draft picks and all the things they did to bring him in, and he handled the expectations and even exceeded those. He carried himself in a manner that’s very rare [for] young guys [to] do. He has great leadership qualities.” |

There's much more, but that's the first stuff I thought of just now. I don't care if you're Bill effin Bellicheck and all of your cap space is taken away and you can't sign anyone to any contracts but veteran min, this record speaks for itself. This isn't the same as firing Shottenheimer, or Spurrier, or Zorn... this isn't a knee jerk reaction based on a terrible previous move. This was Snyder sitting back, letting him do the work, be the boss...and it's blown up right in his face. Patience has been exercised... and the logical, rational, diligent move is to move on. It's time to finally try something so incredible obvious, it hurts that we haven't done it. Copy the formula of a winning franchise. Hire a true GM, and give him full control of all the personnel operations. Hire a coach- one that isn't a re-tread... but someone hungry and to win a Superbowl. Change the culture in Washington, eliminate the circus, and stop trading away high draft picks.

He's doing a fine job of that himself these last 4 years.

He already did that on his own.

Coach Bounty would be my pick, that would be a start. No ideas as to his supporting cast of coaches and assistants.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Maybe we could trade Coughlin for Shamny at midfield after the handshake.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
The mess he cleaned up? How about the mess he's created?
We're staring down 3 and effing 13 and his hands are clean and it's all on the "diva" QB? WTF?! |

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this name but I hope the Redskins look at Mike Pettine, the defensive coordinator of the Bills. He has a pretty good track record and seems to change his scheme to accommodate his players. Also went to UVA, just as a side note.

Re: Choose Your 2014 Redskins Head Coach (Volume 2)
Let the new HC assemble his staff.
Snyder should have nothing to do with it. |
