You can say that again! They threw flags on about 80% of the plays ran in that first half! If this is any indication as to how games are going to be called during the season, it's going to become a distraction of the game.

There's no way it can continue or we'll have 4 hour games totally messing up the TV schedule

This is true! I got so used to seeing flags on every play that I would start yelling at the TV even after a play was ran without a penalty!

or peyton when he barks out an audible or hard count, then jerks his body forward and moves up to either side of the center to make sure they hear his audible ... like everyone else i imagine those false starts by RG3 dont get called in the reg seasons but during preseason the nfl wants to over flag it to make it a point of emphasis.

Do you think RG3's cleat doesnt get caught during that 1st slide if he was playing on different/better turf? i do

Griffin took a couple of shots in a meaningless game. Bad move on his part. But the media firestorm over it is a little out of control.

But Jones isn't the only one who says the Seahawks' aggressive style of play, which held opponents to an average of 172 passing yards per game and collected 28 interceptions last season, is the source for these mad flag-throwing zebras.

Hall, the Redskins corner who is among a number of Twitter combatants of Seahawks corner Richard Sherman, essentially echoed what Jones said about the Seahawks' style.

"Seahawks got their ring, they did it their way...now we have to pay the consequences. " --DeAngelo Hall on more flags. #Redskins

DeAngelo Hall says there are "no ifs, ands, or buts about it" the Super Bowl game is the reason for more flags #Redskins

Not really. It's year 3 and he still hadn't gotten it yet.

I few league wide simple but effective protests would make the committee back off the flag raining.

I'm sure Gruden is all over it. Sounds to me that it is more like he is getting tired of answering the same damn question.

And he probably never will. It's just how he plays. I don't know if it's an ego thing to prove how tough he is, or he just likes and enjoys the contact. Mike Vick has been playing how many years now? Still hasn't learned how to protect himself.

Seattle reminded me of 91 Redskins against Buffalo. They just beat the crap out of Denver's WR's. I guess the league didn't like what they saw. Now we have to look at these zebras wear their arms out.

Re: Gameday Thread: Browns vs. Redskins

The league always wants more offense, and for Peyton to ride off with another ring. It's scripted folks.

I think his training and instinct as a hurdler takes over at times. We have seen him try to hurdle players, and as a hurdler, you speed up, plant and jump, exactly the opposite of what they are telling him to do, slow down, avoid obstacle and relax .

My dad said one day you are pissing into the wind with the yelling; asking him to stop running is like asking him to stop breathing. IT is some how in grained into him.

I think the same maybe true for RGIII.

I think you just let him do what he does and if that means shorten his career then that is what it is. I rather 5 years of an awesome RGIII then 8 years of handcuffing him.

Eventually father time will take the speed from him and it will be up to RGIII to be able to be a "pocket passer" in order to stay in the league.

But if there were big men chasing your son looking to rip his head off every time he ran around he would probably get the point.
Griffs future and millions of dollars are on the line every time he is careless like that. I mean the guy is finally healthy, and in a meaningless preseason game (when the starting qb job is not even remotely an issue), he is reckless beyond belief over a couple of yards? Total head scratcher at this point.
Edit: as a Dad im glad he is just active n there are no issues.
