I don't know what Snyder will do. But, I hope he fires Zorn right after the regular season is over with and hires Shanahan an hour later.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
I think its safe to say we can count the time from when the Chargers game is over and Zorn is fired in minutes, rather than hours or days.
While there's no garauntee Snyder lets Zorn keep his job until after the post-game press conference, I think he probably will. I'd say Zorn will be fired no later than 8:30PM on January 3rd and Shanahan's named our head coach within 24 hours. I imagine his introductory press conference will be Tuesday the 5th at 12:30.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
LOL, that would be nice. I honestly felt the chances of him being fired yesterday were about 50/50. He can't be fired soon enough for my taste.

Yeah, could we have done any worse with JGray or DSmith as interim coach. I was all about giving Zorn a chance in these two NFC E matches, but now, I just want to avoid humiliation, let alone win.

I hope Bruce Allen does that. Snyder already did what he needed to do.

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
I was all for bringing Zorn back but with the lack of support from the FO and the "public castration" he's gone through, I think the damage that's been done is probably irreversible. At least within this organization. I would let him go right after the season ends and announce the new coach. Fair..unfair...whatever, it's time to move on.

I definitely agree with you, 53Fan; the relationship between Zorn and Redskins FO definitely have been damaged beyond repairable.. As much I like Zorn but they both need to go separate after this season..

No don't be rediculous. I was just saying that for the last 2 yrs I have been on my own (small) boycott of Redskins gear. Now with Vinny being gone (supposedly) I actually have more hope that this team will be handled more professionally. But having gone to the store many times over 2 yrs looking at Skins gear and forcing myself not to purchase I find myself still reserved. Just wondering if anyone else is feeling the same way. Clearly your not. Chalk one up for the "No" side. Look I'm starting out like the Skins....0-1. |

Re: Report: Shanahan to DC done deal
Yeah that was straight Zorn trying to screw us on Monday night, and did just that. After they knew we were faking it was stupid to not just bring out the offense and go for it. I liked Zorn up until then he's still getting 2 million dollars to do his job, I say ship him and his hip hip hooray ass back to Seattle..
