Maybe they wanted an Austin since DAL has one.

We could have drafted Campbell! The guy we selected probably would have available as a free agent. And why did we draft a tight end? I really don't understand this draft or the goals of the Redskins.

Yeah, it seems like this dude will compete for the KR job. Speed is what we need. I liked how Rock always got it out to at least the 30 yard line, but was kind of annoyed how he rarely ever got past the 30 yard line.

He doesnt have 4.38 speed its a lie. He ran a 4.5. But his acceleration is great. just not elite top end speed

The exact same players at the same positions in the draft. Except instead of drafting a LB in the 5th and 6th round we did it in the 4th.

I mean look at this:

2009:
5th - Cody Glen - LB - Nebraska
6th - Robert Henson - LB - TCU
7th - Eddie Williams - College TE moved to FB - Idaho
7th - Marko Mitchell - WR - Nevada

2010
4th - Perry Riley - LB - LSU
6th - Dennis Morris - College TE moved to FB - La Tech
7th - Terrance Austin - WR - UCLA

I mean do you not see a pattern? I'm not even saying there bad picks, what I am saying is that the same guys that picked players last year are picking players again this year

I disagree with you about wide receiver depth. And a problem with our OL depth is that many of the players are older.

There still remains a simple point: the most direct way to overcome not drafting OL's for a decade is to draft OL's.

We drafted a TE to play FB.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Rounds 4-7

I was hoping we could land Campbell in one of the later rounds. At first blush, the TE move makes no sense. But then again, 3 TEs on a roster isn't uncommon, Sellers has been getting nicked up more often, plus he's starting to get up there in age, and this kid may bring some versatility.

Other than that, I don't know. I'll just repeat the company line on this one; I'll just trust the front office.

good grief - stop complaining. weve got a ton of crappy OL on our team right now. the last thing we need to do is waste late round picks on more. we arent going to find any starting linemen in the 7th round. now, we can find special teamers in the 7th round. we also dont have a 5th WR on the roster. hence the WR pick. i wish people would exercise some common sense and stop overreacting to stuff. very solid picks in my opinion.

I'll bet all the OLinemen available now are of the "stereotypical" "fat and slow" types, none of which have a long lifespan in a ZBS system.
