Re: ***2010-2011 College Football Thread***

Man VT definitely stunk it up against Stanford. They managed to keep it close in the first half, but they definitely stunk it up in the second. I hoped for a win but I kinda knew the only way it would happen is if they could stop Luck and Stanford's O, and the better team did prevail. And we deserve all the flak we get because a 1-28 (or is it 29 now?) record against top 5 teams is trashy, esp. considering we've won 10 games for like 7 or 8 straight seasons.

As for Tyrod Taylor, I don't necessarily agree with Angry that he'll be better than Vick. I mean he's got the skills, he's easily one of the top dual threat qb's, but I just don't see him being that good, esp. not in light of how Vick is tearing up the NFL right now.

Also completely agree on Rece Davis. Way to let the kids and coaches enjoy their BCS victories before ruining it with your questions about scandals and rumors.

LOL!!! Oregon? Say bye. All your cute little poster-board play-calling, neon colors, and ever changing uniforms just look stupid now. Told you it was grab bag crap. The SEC is bigger, stronger, and faster.

Congrats on scoring 30 points less than your season average. SEC are the big dogs. You can't bring that crunchy west coast garbage to our conference. 5 straight, and 7 total BCS championships. Ownership.

It works against teams except those with 75% NFL talent/speed. So basically it works against just about every team except maybe two.

Florida won 2 titles with it. Auburn won with it. About 80% of college football runs the spread with the read option in it. Don't blame the read option for Oregon's offense. They just ran into a better team. That's how it is.

With an astrick. Cam knew he was being pimped by his dad, no question. Kid doesnt have much character, what can you say but the apple doesnt fall far from the tree.

Im not blaming anything, just it doesnt resemble football. No your absolutely right Auburn was the better team last nite. TCU, Stanford, LSU, Oregon, Ohio State could beat them no doubt, just wish we had a playoff to see it.

Doesn't matter if he knew or not, that doesn't change the fact that Auburn won with the read option.

Very true. The rest of college football is pretty clean so clearly this kid has some major character flaws.

Look don't blame the kid for being part of one of the most corrupt industries in the world. The entire thing is a giant vat of broken rules and shady dealings. I don't like excusing bad behavior but the term "bad behavior" is a relative one. When that type of behavior is the standard it can't really be called bad.

yeah im gonna blame him for doing the wrong thing. to say he is amonished of all blame because the industry is corrupt is irresponsible. Not everyone is participating in the corruption and he had a choice. He and his father chose to attempt to bribe schools into payment.

Lets not forget his history at Florida. To steal from a peer like that shows me something is clearly wrong. I mean are you serious? I simply dont get that, how can someone who has been given a golden opportunity in that program, with Tebow as a mentor and Urban as a coach...yeah very low character IMO

Sidenote: I thought the best moment was when the troops surprised their families at halftime

Ok, continue...

What does that have to do with the read option at all.
