If our D can just manage to get off the field on 3rd down this yr. Look out. I'm super excited, our offense is only going to get better and better overall.

It is a good comparison, I can see him being like Cro, I can see him being like Asante. If he can be a mixture of both, I might just set my wife's car on fire out of excitment.

I too love what I'm hearing about these DBs. But before we all start going crazy keep this in mind: They aren't in pads. And they aren't going against starters. They're going against mostly practice squaders unless this alpin guy is the next Kurt Warner and these WRs are the next welker's and Cruz's.

I believe its pretty easy to say that we upgraded the secondary, even without having seen them in full action yet. |

I think I read a comment in Kliem's article on the Examiner summing up today's festivities where he actually quoted Raheem to actually saying something to that effect out loud.

Merriwether proved to be better by a large margin in only 1 half of playing football. Jackson is better than either Madieu Williams or Reed Doughty playing with a blunt in one hand. Thats the problem, the NFL doesnt allow that. Seeing as our "starters" at safety played all of around 30 minutes the entire season. Either one of the new safeties are better than Madieu Williams, who is no longer with the team. They dont really need to be all that good to be better than Doughty. Doughty knows where to be, he just needs a taxi to get there in time. Now, if you have insider information as to whether Tanard, Fred, and Trent had a party for the rookies, and they are all going to be suspended, then thats a whole different ballgame. |
