A good majority of them were on Robert. Colt didn't have those problems when he was in.

Seriuosly? Colt got his ass knocked out of the game on a sack.

WTF do you guys expect from the QBs? 3 step drop and either throw it to a player or throw it away?

Their dislike of RG3 is based on an irrational belief this is a timing offense a la Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.

What offense in the NFL is not based on timing? Thinking that any offense in the NFL isn't based on timing is kind of irrational.

Jay Gruden has flat-out described his offense as a timing offense.

Are you saying that you know more about Jay Gruden's offense than he does?

That's what the good ones do. Read the defense, check your receivers and throw. Kirk was good at it, but doesn't seem to have the mental toughness to shake off bad plays. RG seems to have a lot of struggles reading defenses and finding receivers. He misses a lot of read and holds onto the ball far too long. Colt seems to be able to find the receivers, his accuracy and arm strength are less than desirable. Colt is also really prone to turnovers.

But yes to answer your question, 3 or 5 step drop, make your throw or throw it away. If that's the way the play is designed then that's the way it should be executed.

Kirk was good at it?

Kirk was good at passing the ball to the other team, he was extremely accurate in passing to the opposing team defenders, lol.

Colt was also getting sacked a bunch in the past few games, maybe a few times less than RG3, but its not like he wasn't being harrassed.

No our problem was our weak O-Line play

Colt got sacked plenty in the past few games.

No, most were on the O-line, they kept letting the pocket collapse over and over on Griffin.

He's not blameless, there were moments where he held the ball too long, but the O-line was like swiss cheese yesterday

Even when Colt got sacked a lot last week, several were on him. Granted, that was the worst game I've seen from the OL this year, but he took some he shouldn't have.

A lot of these sacks could be avoided by getting the ball out faster. Does our OL needed upgraded? Absolutely.

Gotta blame the coaches across the board.

Look at Garcon and Morris, They absolutely tanked and I don't think those are the type of guys who just call it in early trying not to get hurt.
Everyone is having a horrible year and that should fall on the coaches.

Re: Redskins vs Giants GameDay Thread

For what it is worth...

My final thoughts...

Colt McCoy played well, until he got hurt

RG3 played fairly well

The Defense played decently

The Special Teams played Okay

The Offense Line played like Crap!

Just my thoughts
