Look at that wildly overrated San Fran offense and coach (Roman)...the reason San Fran has had success the last 5 year is the way the defense has played. Special teams has been decent as well.

I think from a resume perspective: Fangio, Jim Schartz and Wade Phillips should the be choices.
You are assuming they want to come here.

I'm thinking at least 2 of the 3 would have solid interest. I think Bruce and Scot mcc appeal to folks around the league. I'm sure the concern is working for a dipshit owner.

This. Jed York is probably a little in over his head. Anyone remember what the 49ers were like before Harbaugh got there? Mike Singletary and Mike Nolan? They were changing coordinators every year. I think they're going to really regret letting him walk.

They picked the D-Line coach over Vic because he pissed off management making that threat for them to make a decision for him or Shanahan, otherwise he was leaving.

Vic Fangio wants 49ers head coaching job, or wants Mike Shanahan as head coach, per report - Niners Nation

Owners don't respond well to threats.

No they didn't. They had interest in Fangio early on, and he became available.

Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015

i dont care who gets picked for DC.

I just want it to be done the right way i.e. what BA and Scot McGloughan said = gruden has final say on his DC.

HC picks DC.

They got denied two weeks ago on Fangio & Schwartz. It's not like there wasn't interest before with them.

Re: New Defensive Coordinator 2015

I think we're getting a little ahead of ourselves on Fangio. Would love to see it, but I'd be surprised.

Then again, I was surprised when they pulled off the trade for Griffin, so...

If Snyder strikes that check for 2M Vic will be here. Money makes moves happen.

BA is no Vinny, he will get this done and cement himself further with Danny.
