Re: Redskins vs. Squealers Gameday Thread

The world is not ending tomorrow. We do not need a new QB. We knew going into the game we needed D-Line help and a Center. We also knew we would struggle running the ball against their front 7.

Our MLB are fine if the D-Line does their job.

What is frustrating is the penalties. I have never seen a team that get so many in bunches. 1-10 holding penalty, 1-20 false start, 1-25 draw play for 7 yards.

It was a game of inches. It RK falls on the ball we have our second turnover, one inch and Breeland breaks up the TD on 4th down, and one more second and it's a fumble. We win big, it was not our night and the sun will come up tomorrow and we will be one game out of first place.

Cmon guys, what were you expecting? Pittsburgh is one of the best teams in the league, clearly a tier above us

I bet we'll look a lot better next week against Dallas

Re: Redskins vs. Squealers Gameday Thread

I cant figure out which one I'm the most embarrassed about.....

Poor tackling
Offensive Penalties
D getting lined up late
Absent running game
Kerrigan getting kicked out play after play after play
The look of an unprepared team
Special teams looking special ed.

Re: Redskins vs. Squealers Gameday Thread

Rolling my eyes at most of the comments.
This game is on McCloughhan.
And if Gruden cant make better adjustments in the future more games will be.
We all talked about the lack of running backs/running back depth.
We all talked about the interior D'Line lacking real starters.
We were right....we saw it tonight.

I was hoping that the team would not take a big dump like they did. Wasn't expecting a win, but that loss was just horrible.

Agree. So far he:
1) Passed up on Leonard Williams to get Scherff, which seems like the wrong move at least right now. Williams could have sealed a big hole in the D and Scherff hasn't shown All-Pro talent yet at guard.

2) Passed up on a bunch of Dline talent in draft again this year for WR, hybrid LB, 3rd CB. This may work out but seemed to have hurt us so far.

3) Neglected to sign any big FA on Dline.

Love Scotty McC, but our lack of Dline is what crippled us this game, and will kill us all year. to have a 34yo 2nd string RB run for >140 yards is embarassing.

You mean Dallas with the top notch O-line, a solid RB core, Dez and a budding young QB?

I just want a Franchise QB. Ughhh. Really, we've never really had one even going back to the 80'/early 90's when they were winning. We're freaking due!

Against another good team, Cousins played like crap. Turned it over, misses open guys, etc. It's starting to become a trend.

So far, Scott is looking like a genius for only franchising Cousins this year, and not giving long term deal.

I'm gonna start watching Sudfeld highlights and tricking myself into believing he is definitely the guy if Cousins keeps playing like that against good teams.
Over reaction Monday. This is going on in 16 cities right now....lol. Sudfeld...lmao....

They should consider signing Knighton back. Yeah he wasn't great, but he could push the inside. Baker did squat tonight.

I think Lich is a bigger liability though.

Pittsburgh is a heavily favorite to go to the SB. Let's just calm down a bit. We just need to beat Dallas who is starting a rookie Qb on the road. If we do that we are 1-1 and can move forward. If not we are deep shit.

Re: Redskins vs. Squealers Gameday Thread

What bothered me about KC tonight was he didn't make any plays at all. Shawn Hill or Blaine Gabbert could have ran our offense

Also...Kirk, Preston, Kerrigan, Trent, Baker, Bleeland, some of our best guys didn't show up for shit tonight. Just shows me that even our best guys aren't good enough to play with the best teams.

Re: Redskins vs. Squealers Gameday Thread

This was a pitiful performance all around the board. We was out coached, out played, and out classed. It's as simple as that. I know everybody is going to come down on Kirk. He didn't not look like the guy we saw over the last few games. But I have confidence he'll get it together. That defense I have no confidence in at all. We saw the same defense that got completely owned by Rogers get owned by Big Ben. Which doesn't surprise me since the guy leading this defense also led the worse defense in nfl history. We had a opportunity to land Wade Philips, instead we chose go with Gruden's old buddy from Tampa.
