3rd or 4th but I get it the past injuries hurt.. Just sucks losing a CB1 for nothing

Yeah, but you can't write a piece critiquing the trade and omit a big factor that's affecting the players situation, which is health.

If Dunbar had been completely healthy in the past two seasons, we would have either re-sign him or get higher compensation.

Shawn Springs didn't think so.

Wasn't Dunbar undrafted?

Yeah but he was a WR in college , Jay saw his potential at Corner and he took off. That's a rare situation in fact the only CB that I can recall of being a great late rd guy is Sherman. Unless I'm missing someone.

Good offseason question -- best late or UDFA corners the last decade.

Tramon Williams, GB, UDFA, 2006 .. PFF has as the 6th best corner

Brian Poole, jets, udfa (slot corner)

jason mccourty, NE, 6th rounder 2009

--------------

1. this is just a list from PFF .. depends on how you view their grading

2. seems like the late/udfa corners who scored well with them were older guys. makes senses.

3. my knee jerk reaction - lets target 1 of 2 late 20s vet corners in FA

He’s good he’s just not a number one guy on the majority of teams. And the durability issues take him down a notch.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Signings 2020

My main concern is a team that went 3 games or whatever it was without an offensive TD has done very little adding talent to that side.

Also LT and TE are both positions of need ASAP, so is this offense going backwards? Sure the depth signings are fine, missing Cooper really hurt. Hooper some too. I trust the new regime but it's not crazy to be feeling down on this 2020 team right now.

While this might seem like a bad start for Redskins, I'm happy with Riveria and FO's strategies so far. It's obviously they are not doing everything they can to get into SB this year. This strategy have always failed us for years, and it's beyond time for Redskins to go on a long-term strategy. Now, Redskins are going on this path which means we all need to temper our expectations for this year. I can see Redskins getting into playoffs this year but I think some things will need to fall together for that to happen.
I'm with you. Except Barber I like our FA so far.

TE is my only real "scare", I think we can find a stop gap LT (resign Penn), and I could see us survive with our young CBs (Fuller and Moreau outside... or maybe Moreland who was impressive at times has a great camp and wins the outside job... but if you can security, Prince Amukamara and Darby are still available and shouldn't cost that much, Breeland too but I think he'll get a legit contract).

What I like is that I don't think this year's FA had real undisputed exciting talent, and unless you're seriously contending for something big, I don't think reaching (in term of cap sending) for need feeling not-elite talent in FA is the way to go.

Richard Rodgers proofed he can play with GB, he was one of Aaron Rodgers favorite targets till he went to Philly and got hurt. Let’s give him a chance, I still say our best TE will be a draft pick.

If we're not at least looking at Logan Ryan and Damarious Randall I'd be surprised. Immediately round out the defensive backfield and wouldn't be budget busting pick ups. Then we can draft O. Aside from Chase Young of course 😁

Either one would be a big help. We have the cap space and the cash money so it might be time to spend some of it. WTH, sign them both!
