Wow, the Bears have truly become the Redskins.
- Giving up draft picks for players CHECK - Completely disregarding the offensive line CHECK - Making a splash in free agency on skill positions players CHECK - Signing a marquee free agent CHECK - Coach is already on the hot seat and the season hasn't started CHECK Good luck Chicago.

Re: Peppers signs with the Bears (updated - again)
The Redskins have had many good days in previous offseasons, but that hasn't necessarily translated into wins or playoffs.

Re: Peppers signs with the Bears (updated - again)
I'm not saying that what the Bears are doing today will translate into wins or playoffs. They still have areas to address. But they are filling needs, not necessarily grabbing the biggest names available just to grab a name, like Snyder has done for years.

Re: Peppers signs with the Bears (updated - again)
Well they gave up a ton of picks because of Cutler last year (similar to Snyder) and since they don't have too many picks, they have to rely mainly in free agency. I'm just seeing a lot of our past mistakes in them this year.

We've seen this scenario too many times, just smells like a Redskins offseason to me. If anyone knows that spending $$ typically doesn't get the best results, it's us. |

Funny line from the Chicago Tribune:
"Smith will accompany Peppers and agent Carl Carey back to Chicago on Friday, presumably to ensure the plane doesn't take a right turn to Washington."

no doubt, they reak of desperation, which I bet we did too to everyone else in the nfl over the years. Lovie has shown that he can get his guys to step up & he's put together a nice D over the years, but he might have more that ne can handle now; a 'star' prima donna on both sides of the ball!
