Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
I saw #40 on the sidelines. Maybe he lined up when Keiland was at RB. #88 Logan Paulsen and #82 Lee Vickers played TE.

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
This was a solid performance for not having a game plan and just running some plays. They did not just run up the score, they played football. this was not a Spurrier type of preseason game. It was a hat on a hat football. Nice to see our guys smile but remember it is exhibition game 1, stay humble and keep working.

What happened to Larry Johnson and Chris Horton? Didn't see either one on the field.

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
I was out this evening, and I'm about to sit down and watch the game (gotta love TiVo). But I saw the score and a few of the highlights.
When I was in the car earlier I was listening to Sammy/Sonny/Larry. Ugh. Man they are painful to listen to. And such BLIND homers. Sammy needs to go. He was talking about the Ravens and called Joe Flacco "Falco" twice before Sonny corrected him. I mean those three were ready to crown this team at halftime of preseason game 1. And then Theismann... Ugh. I'm three minutes into this broadcast and I'm ready to turn him off. He's the biggest moron. As much as I love our Redskins, our local broadcasting game coverage is soooo bad. But hey, cheers to 42 points and a win. Looking forward to watching this.

Thats not good. How do you get hurt with a bright red shirt that screams if anyone comes near him during practice?

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
After watching the game tonight I think Torain might wind up splitting time with Portis if he keeps this pace up. Keiland Williams looked good too. So did Roydell Williams. Brandon Banks has a shot I think for special teams. I think Beck, Willie Parker, Malcolm Kelly (didn't even play tonight) get cut. We will see. Ill be interested in next week with the Ravens. Some real competition.

Hello. Sam and Sonny have always been homers. It has been stated for years that Sam is terrible. You don't turn on the 980 crew for unbiased opinions. Theismann is a lot better than people give him credit for and he is a homer too but it sure beats all the cocksuckers who have always bashed the skins like Baldinger, Tim Ryan, Collinsworth, Randy Cross etc. |

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
I didn't like listening to Theismann tonight. Is it just me or is he always messing up players' names? I heard him mispronounce a couple names, and I wasn't sure if he was right about pronouncing Ma'ake Kemoeatu's name. Just to clarify does anybody know the correct pronunciation of Ma'ake Kemoeatu's name? I'm pretty sure it's Mah-ahke Key-mo-ahtu, not Key-mo-ee-ahtu like he was saying. It's a small point on the name pronouncing but he always annoys me with complaining about the refs and being such a 'Skins homer, and then not being able to pronounce players' names right.
Also Larry Johnson didn't even play tonight, he's not even on the stats sheet. I didn't see him not playing coming. Wth happened there? |

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
Well nobody saw Chris Horton on the field because it was announced like a couple days ago he wasn't playing because of a minor injury. I wasn't expecting him to play but I didn't hear anything about LJ pre-game, nothing about injuries, coach's doghouse, etc. to give me an idea he wouldn't even take a snap tonight.

Yeah he's always screwing up names. He called somebody from the Bills some guy from back in his hey-day too, but I forget who it was. Either way he's def. not a guy I like listening to lol.

Re: Redskins vs. Bills (Preseason Game 1) Thread
It was announced Horton was not going to play a couple days ago (dont remember why though) and Shanahan just said in his press conference LJ will play next week and Parker the week after that because he doesn't feel you can see much or get a true evaluation from a rb by giving them 3-4 runs before switching them out for someone else.
