Re: The everything Gruden thread
Gibbs 2.0 was a decent stretch (Certainly the team was far more disciplined than today)
I actually thought had we stuck with Greg Williams as Coach and Kept Saunders on as Offensive Coordinator after Gibbs retired the second time, we might have been able to get some momentum going |

Re: The everything Gruden thread
The Rams can troll us when they make multiple playoff runs and win at least one title. If they continue to be an average team (which they are), then basically nobody has "won" the trade.

Re: The everything Gruden thread
Man, f*ck the Rams and Jeff Fischer. They aint got nothing to talk about, they are buried in that division
Colt McCoy is getting more tests on his strained neck Monday. We still don't have an exact diagnosis on the injury that knocked McCoy out of Sunday's ugly loss to the Rams. His status for Week 15 is unknown, with backup Robert Griffin III waiting in the wings. Per Kiem. Im sorry, but it make zero sense to play Colt now, RG3 needs to be back there. This sounds like a man down situation

Agree with Chico, RG should start.
One thing, nobody and I mean nobody should question his toughness. RG has been battered behind this shitshow line and hung in there, albeit with the yips. McCoy couldn't last more than a couple full games and looked terrible by end of yesterday's disaster. |

Re: The everything Gruden thread
We were on the right path, with a big OL, good QB and RB, I'm no Westbrook fan, nor Stubblefield and Wilkinson, but making the playoffs in 1999 was basically with Casserly and Norv's team. Snyder and Cerrato didn't start the big FA spending spree till after that season..

92-98 were some lean years. My point was regarding the "Snyder curse", Snyder may have come along and messed shit up, but we were already far removed from the glory days. |

True the wheels were coming off, but Snyder got in the drivers seat and drove it off a cliff. Than walked down to the burning vehicle and poured gasoline on it. Than he picked up what was left and tied it in a bag with heavy chains and sunk it in the middle of the ocean. Atleast we were not a laughing stock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Robert Griffin III Punting Footballs for 40 Minutes Is a Sad, Inexplicable Story | Bleacher Report
I don't like RG3 but this is probably one of the saddest things i've ever read about an NFL player...

Re: The everything Gruden thread
RGIII career is far from over..if he does not play here again he will someplace else..he needed some growing up to do and maybe he has..think about it if he has a good game it could boost his confidence and he could bounce back..trouble is ..what QB in the league could play well with this totally cluster of a team..Brady or Rogers would not win 7 games with this team!!

Re: The everything Gruden thread
After having all day to recover from the drubbing by St Louis (actually the humiliation),
I'm centered again. I believe in Jay Gruden....he is part of the solution in my book. I think he needs to make some tough choices in order to push the franchise forward, but I really have no doubt that he will figure it out. The guy has succeeded at every level, every other position he's held. He knows football. I think this first year will teach him a lot...I think he's a good natured guy, but unfortunately, I think in order to grow, he'll have to look beyond friendships and make hard decisions. Ultimately, I think he will. |
